Someone on me bus said something about an Ak-53. He was shocked I never heard of it. I think he said it fires 7.62x42 rounds. I know that this doesn't exist, and if it does, I'll lick my elbow.
Is that someone dyslexic?

:derp: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIG_AK53 Well, its a SIG... [editline]26th October 2011[/editline] Hahahah not what we were talking about though.
7.5x55mm
[editline]26th October 2011[/editline] not quite 7.62x42
Didn't watch the vdya but methinks they meant 30-06. I probably misunderstood you though.
The vidya said .306.
The vidya said .306.
The vidya was wrong.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M1941_Johnson_machine_gun It fired a .30-06.
The vidya was wrong.
I know, I was just saying, never heard of that.
I hope I get to fire my dads tri-barrel (SxS 12gauge and a 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser at the bottom) Sauer Suhl this weekend. Dad is gonna use his Schulz & Larsen .30-06 He always buys crazy expensive (both the Sauer and the Schulz costed a little over $6000) guns, all I want is a Molot Vepr in .308! (about $1k) I just arrived in Sweden to hunt Boar.
Dammit, the Mosin sniper I had my eye on sold... Oh well, for the same price I could get a standard Mosin and an SVT, so whatever.
It looks like a Remington 1100 shotgun.
That or it looks alot like my Remington 11-87.
That tribarell sounds awesome.
Sounds like a 10lb gun.
I got a semi-intact WW2 12,7x99 slug from my grampa today. Anyone want pics? The steel core is intact and it's got a bunch of wood in the tip.
Yes please!!!
Aww yeah, getting a leather Mosin Nagant ammo pouch in half an hour :)
Don't they come with them usually? Mine came with four of those, the sling, oil can, tools in the tool pouch, and the bayonet.
A mate owes me money for a silencer I bought for him, he's just giving me the pouch he got with his M44 as he doesn't really need it.
A pouch for a silencer? You got ripped off.
The silencer was like 60$, so he bought me Red Orchestra 2 on Steam, then owed me 10 additional bucks. That's what the pouch is for.
Cheap silencer man.
I got a discount of about 25%. .22LR, norwegian produced one. A-TEC rimfire.
Oh, it's for 22. That explains it.
I just found out where that Mosin Sniper I was looking at went, another store bought it and is selling it for double the price. Not paying $850 for a Mosin Sniper.
I just found out where that Mosin Sniper I was looking at went, another store bought it and is selling it for double the price. Not paying $850 for a Mosin Sniper.
The reason why the latter is so expensive is that it probably had it converted. You have to get a new bolt, fix up the chamber cover so that it can hold a scope, and to top that off you need to get a scope. Services for converting mosins go for around 4-500 dollars.
Poor man's nightvision If you're not going to be wearing a helmet, ES googles or anything similiar but you know that you're going to be walking around in urban area durring the night time, Simply get an eyepatch. That's right, And eyepatch can serve as your low budget nightvision device. So how does it work? Be in a well lighted room, put on your eyepatch and wait for few minutes. This will adjust your other eye for night enviroment and will also allow you to see prety well after a flashbang. Obviously the timing is important when using an extempore solution like this, So avoid exposing your adjusted eye to light until you're in a dark enviroment. The only downside of this is that you lose some of your visibility of course and you cannot tell the distance of objects.
Could've sworn that mosin snipers are worth more then that. Like a grand or 2.
Maybe for a real scope, but most are good reproductions. The gun was going for $495 on one site, and it sat for months, I thought it'd be safe until I got the cash, then one day it got taken off the site, presumably sold. About 2 days later it pops up on another site for $830. Considering the price it was at before, I'm not willing to pay a difference of a few hundred from the new seller, instead I'll probably just get a basic one and a milsurp ammo crate, or a Mosin and an SVT. $500 I was fine with, $830 is too high. Hell, I've put 150 rounds of .22, 20 7.62x54R, and 40 rounds of .30-06 into the same pumpkin before and it was still standing.
I think they put explosives inside the pumpkin.
I think they put explosives inside the pumpkin.
Nope. 12ga Slugs just do that kind of thing at that range. [editline]30th October 2011[/editline] Actually I correct myself. They probably filled it up with water.
So an update on the boarhunting. I got to shoot the tribarrel at a deer, I only fired one barrel (left shotgun, 12 ga) and I missed. But we didn't have license for hunting deer anyways :v: I misunderstood one of the swedes so I thought I could shoot deer, then I got 3 deer just running right into my face like 30 minutes after we started hunting the first day. After that I didn't see anything but the two boars other people shot. When I get back to Norway I might upload some pics of the drilling (tribarrel) It really isn't that heavy, when I shot it barely felt any recoil. Then again, I'm used to lugging around a 12 pound Krag for DFS shooting.
I put the Glock 19 up for sale today. With the holidays coming up, I decided I'd like to have the cash.
