Got to fire a Mosin for the first time today, not that bad on kick, it only hurt because I can't fire in prone properly, don't like prone at all, and the gun wasn't in my shoulder properly. It didn't kick any worse than my buddy's Lee Enfield I've fired before. I think I managed to hit the target (100m), but I was low. It's an okay gun, and cheap, definitely still interested in finding one, once I have disposable income.
I put the Glock 19 up for sale today. With the holidays coming up, I decided I'd like to have the cash.
How much are you selling it for?
Sold the Glock 19 and 3 15rd mags for $450. The 33rd mags I'm trying to get $30/ea on, the black holster I've got someone interested for $20 and the tan holster someone else for $80.
Aw, I kinda wanted a Glock 19.
Sorry, I always try the local forums first. No shipping that way :P

Anyone in the Arizona-area looking to offload a gun or two? I'm looking for some new iron to play with.
Is that an Ishi bolt through the stock? I only just heard about these today, some metal reinforcement Ishapore refurbs have in the stock.
Is that an Ishi bolt through the stock? I only just heard about these today, some metal reinforcement Ishapore refurbs have in the stock.
Which part of the stock? The only time that I'm aware the rifle was ever refurbished was a Lithgow factory job. Everything is Lithgow stamped
Which part of the stock? The only time that I'm aware the rifle was ever refurbished was a Lithgow factory job. Everything is Lithgow stamped
The little wooden circle in the stock with what looks like a nail or small metal rod through it. Granted, you said patch, that could be all it is. Apparently it's a screw, not a bolt, that they put through some. Looking it up they're calling it the "Ishy screw," though it looks like they placed it farther up the stock, not in the butt, on almost any Enfield that saw its way through India's Ishapore factory. Oh I see what you're talking about. No, it's actually a patch. During WW1 the British and Australians were still using the brass stock discs in the rifles for unit identification. At some point during the war they stopped issuing the stock discs, but they still had stocks drilled with the cutout for them, so the put wood patches in the cutouts in place of the brass discs [editline]31st October 2011[/editline] This rifle is confirmed 100% Lithgow.
Has it got the arrowhead stamp? that proves it's Lithgow
Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ;_;
Bizzare, it's like half rail half gun.
Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ;_;
1. Why do I think this was a Red Jacket Firearms production? 2. Why are his hands covered in blood?
Has it got the arrowhead stamp? that proves it's Lithgow
Everything has the Lithgow "MA" stamp, as well as the Lithgow crest (as seen on the wrist)
2. Why are his hands covered in blood?
They filmed this after their halloween episode. He was a zombie.

My dad gave me my grandpas Browning HP for my birthday. It hasn't been fired in 20 years.
So, my handguard issue on my Zastava PAP. I can't get it off. I'm just going to buy a gas tube and be done with it. Will this fit? I don't know how compatible gas tubes are across AK variants. Check somewhere with a more specialized knowledge into AKs and AK clones, because if you didn't get an answer here before, you won't get one now.
New SIG551-A1 looks pretty good. Unfortunately, its probably gonna be a $2000 rifle though.
Well I figured I'd tell you guys I'm now officialy enlisted in the USMC and until I leave for basic I am Marine Reserves. I pick my job tomorow I got a 74 on my ASVAB so I have a good selection of choices but I'm thinking Armor Crewmember. I'd love to be in an M1 Abrams.

I wouldn't be able to live with the knowledge that my tank was a massive inviting target in so many situations in our current AOs

I wouldn't be able to live with the knowledge that my tank was a massive inviting target in so many situations in our current AOs
True though that may be, how many tankers have we lost in the last few years? The Abrams is basically tough enough to withstand anything they can throw at it in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's built to take on a T-90 and win, so I'd feel pretty safe in one.

They aren't really the massive fortresses the media makes them out to be, they arent actually that well armored in reality. Its also fucking huge. And its meant to take on T-72s and win, not T-90s. The T-90 is actually a newer tank than the Abrams technically (Not to say that it couldnt take on a T-90). We are long due for an overhaul, not more upgrades.
I know someone who is so arrogant about how "invincible" the Abrams is, brags about it collecting 50 unexploded RPGs in the side armour in Iraq. I think it's a bit bullshit, personally, it seems like people overestimate and exaggerate the power and durability of it.

I'm working on enlisting in the Air Force, but the AF IS TAKING IT'S SWEET FUCKING TIME WITH MY BACKGROUND CHECK.
Army guard here. I'm gonna have a really shitty job too. 42A, Human Resources Specialist, but I don't have to leave my hometown for drill and AIT is only 8 weeks. I leave for IET on 4 Jan 2012. Of course, I can always change my MOS.
