Cleaned my first M16A2 today. I'm so pumped for BCT.
Holy shit. So, we went on a trip to Sportsmans Warehouse the other day so I could buy a bowstring (turns out they sell bows, but not bowstrings. What the fuck is up with that?). Anyways, I'm wandering around the store, and I see my brother at what we've dubbed the "Wall O' Steel", and I see my brother talking to a sales clerk. Turns out he's had them special-order him a level-action rifle in .308/.38 Special. Life is good.
.357/.38? .308 and .38 have a slight disparity in cartridge size...
.357/.38? .308 and .38 have a slight disparity in cartridge size...
They're all thirty caliber, though, so it's awwriiight. (no, no it is not, please don't test that theory anyone)
Cleaned my first M16A2 today. I'm so pumped for BCT.
Also, though I don't shoot much at all, I'm going to do my damnedest to get that Expert medal.
I'm probably horribly wrong caliber-wise, I think those were the two calibers they had available.
Turns out I need a restricted firearms license for 8mm muaser, bad buzz. It's not like I can get that through other means.
Turns out I need a restricted firearms license for 8mm muaser, bad buzz. It's not like I can get that through other means.
How hard is it to get the licensing?
How hard is it to get the licensing?
Fairly difficult for restricted firearms, you need a good reason like being a member if a target club or being a deer stalker. Then it all falls down to the decision of the Garda superintendent, who often would love to ensure you never get the license. Most of our police force is incompetent at the best of times, they don't really have a knowledge of firearms and go mad at buzz words like semi-automatic, tactical and synthetic.
I'm probably horribly wrong caliber-wise, I think those were the two calibers they had available.
A lever action in .308? What.
A lever action in .308? What.
There is a Levergun that shoots 308 Marlin, it is what it sounds like. But I don't think that's what he's getting and got his calibers in a bit of a jumble.
I know they recently made a .308 to convert .32 pistols to to make them legal here, though as far as I know it's a service done by only one gunsmith in Southern Ontario. I heard they got Hornady making their bullets, though. If anyone's ever heard of the .303 Epps, the same shop that made that is making this new .308 Reid, I think it's called. Would love to get a legal PPK up here, and that was one of the examples they used, but I think the barrel is still just a bit too short.
It's a .38 special, apparently :v: I think I found it on the Marlin website: [editline]9th November 2011[/editline] :swoon:

Is that a Lee Enfield? IS THAT A GODDAMN LEE ENFIELD? That fucker should have to strip that disrespectful, destructive, disgusting paint on that rifle off of it with their own blood. How DARE they do that to some of Britain's finest weaponry, and one of, if not the, longest serving service weapon(s) of all time. Absolutely fucking disgusting.

I'm glad imgur's fucking up right now so I can't see this.

How exactly does an ironsight work on guns like the FAMAS when the inital sight is like 10cm above the barrel.

It looks like a photoshop jerb...And I hope for the sake of the Lee Enfield that it is.
How exactly does an ironsight work on guns like the FAMAS when the inital sight is like 10cm above the barrel.
Angles nigga. it may looks perfectly flat but I'm pretty sure it is at an angle so it meets up with the barrel essentially. fuck I suck at explaining it [editline]9th November 2011[/editline]
Is that a Lee Enfield?

Had a friend link me that several days ago. There was also a nugget done the same way.
Had a friend link me that several days ago. There was also a nugget done the same way.
A nugget you say? Prusselusken?
nugget + violet polymer stock + twilight sparkle sticker on butt = something I'd easily pay $500 for
please tell me you forgot a  at the end of that sentence
I thought you considered that heresy before...
I was just playing along actually. While I do think bubba-ing guns is dumb, I don't really mind plastic stocks, drilling&tapping and modification of receivers that much as I seem to do.
Did you get laid? Haha just kidding, I would die if I seen an M1 Garand with a red dot on it. @_@

Is the bottom synthetic or wood? The top is disgusting, the rail looks natural on the bottom though.
