I'd love to see this happen, but it won't. Once Joe's single is released in shops it's over.

More and more people are using digital distribution services instead of buying CDs these days, perhaps even more so than in 2008. I'm optimistic. Do your part, still! Edit: Joe's single has been out for a day now and we're still in the lead. FUCK YES!
I think what would have been possibly better would be getting one of the old classic christmas no 1's to the top
I really hope this does happen. X Factor winners are always mediocre compared to other bands and singers - the ones that don't need a talent competition to get a deal.

Well I've bought mine anyhow, lets hope we can do it!
got ma copy, so has my sister, at first i liked x factor , but it got worse every year until it went to the point i wanted to kill every finalist
I think what would have been possibly better would be getting one of the old classic christmas no 1's to the top
Possibly. I think if we were to do something like this again next year, we'd have to do something like that (plus, from a different record label.) However, I really do think 'Killing in the Name' has a message that is really apt for this situation : plus, it's almost perfectly balanced between "mainstream" and "alternative", with enough fans to do the job.
haha, one can dream buddy...
I can indeed.
I didn't think this wouldn't get this for :buddy: Also it's not really about the lyrics of RATM though I enjoy their music it's more just getting something different on the charts instead of the usual processed autotune shit that appeals to 12 year olds. It will be funny to hear all the little bitches at my school after christmas sayin "aggghhh it's metal! Agghhh it's all screaming I can't hear what they're saying ! It's shit!"
Shouldn't we wait until the christmas week before we buy? Also, AllYLO0oUYArRrRRRR!
No, it's fine, it counted from the 13th.
K then. that's cool
Can you still buy the cd in shops?
iTunes made this song the only one on the album to be 99p instead of 79p. Coincidence? I THINK NOT
Im sick of getting invited to this group on facebook, and i take the piss out of my mates for it: 1) it's a crap song anyway 2) Simon Cowell either has a deal with UK chart officials or pays a massive premium, but the xmas number 1 spot is rigged to be the x-factor winner. Rate me dumb all you want, you know it's true. Bookies has RATM at 2/1 odds of winning, x-factor guy at 5/1 im gonna bet 100 quid just to cash in.
They could have picked a better song, which was a bit more christmasy. Also, I agree that that Alexandra Burke ruined the Hallelujah song. I loved the classic.
I fucking hate rage against the machine.
Rated tool because you're a tool.
No! NO. BAD GOOGLE ADS.
I'm American should I care about any of this?
I'm American should I care about any of this?
Wire monies to any friends you have in the UK and tell them to spend it on the song
rage against the machine sucks
They have just gone number one for both Album and singles a minute ago.
rage against the machine sucks
Surely a song by Miley Cyrus sucks harder
They have just gone number one for both Album and singles a minute ago.
The album is only £3.95, 99p of which is KITN.
They have just gone number one for both Album and singles a minute ago.
Yes! Let's hope it stays that way.
They have just gone number one for both Album and singles a minute ago.
Behold, Simon Cowell - the power of the internet.

Instead of posting my usual "Fuck you I won't do my Homework" joke at the expense of retarded RATM fans (who are all at this very moment wearing Ché Guevera t-shirts their parents bought them), I'm gonna go out of my way NOT to buy Killing in the Name Of, because this sort of marketing is for cunts.
Odds for the No. 1 spot: XFactor guy: 1/3 RATM: 2/1
