AFAIK MaxOfSTD's moderatorship began when he started modelling for GMod.
He decided that the best way to moderate Facepunch Forums was to go into LMAO pics thread and ban anyone who posted something that was even juust a little bit racist/sexist/offensive, because racism is a very serious business when it comes to threads such as LMAO pics.
Overall nobody know how much MaxOfSTD was baked to achieve such level of shitmodding, but we know he went to work on something crusty with garry, and some time after he faced demodding due to how shit was his job.

People usually hate moderators on facepunch because they ban without warning, instead of letting shitposters shitpost, but for a good reason like outright being dumb etc.
Max decided to ban for something that was posted in LMAO pics long before he came and wasn't really that bannable, thus people from here started to hate him.

It wasn't just that ban though, when people started arguing about it to him he just started banning them too. It was like 3-4 pages of bans.

You're probably right, but I think that's not always true. For example imo Craptasket is a total shitposter but he's doing a pretty good job as a mod. And he basically bans people all day.
