im late to the party but I love bsg for it's cold, hopeless feeling which is exactly what they wanted to deliver.
Shows like firefly and sg-1 are nice and all but too hug-boxy for me.

If I recall correctly, the guy who made the original had tons of videos like this, and he even roped his mom into doing them with him. It was really awkward and depressing.
