I wouldnt even be that mad about the earbuds. The ones I use are built very well, I had one pair for a year and a half before they broke, and they where used often. They are also cheap, and each pair costs about $10, so I just bought 4 pairs. They are noise isolating, and they work well with the seals they come with. Judging by the reviews of them they sound good too.
If anyone wants to know, they are HA-FX5-B earbuds, and atm they are $5 a pair on amazon.

None of that matters, some douchebag is still damaging and destroying your property for no other reason than it being "funny". It's awesome you've found yourself such a good pair of headphones, but at the end of the day, them being cheap and you having backups doesn't mean it's alright for someone to just come along and bust your shit.
