It's hard for me to sleep without white noise in the background. I have a large box fan in my room, turn it on only when I go to bed (or if it is super hot). It's not even blowing on me, it's strictly for noise.

I hate to be a drug know it all or whatever, but you guys are kinda uninformed, and I figured I'd clear some things up. For starters, the syrup the man in the picture is holding, and the syrup that Lil Wayne happens to enjoy(ed), is codeine based,and is coloquially known as lean. It has relaxing, lethargic, and mild euphoric effects for the most part in large doses. It has a lot of popularity and history in the hip-hop community, particularly Houston based rappers. It is not a "sperg" thing at all, it's typically assosciated with thugs and screwed and chop'd music.
The symptoms gman described are from DXM, a cough medicine that is available over the counter. It can make you trip balls as your described, and is available in robotussin, so the slang term for it is "robo-tripping". It is more associated with dumb kids trying to get high for free and tweakers. Most people wouldn't consider codeine syrup a poor man's alcohol, as you need a prescription (or a hook up) to get it, and street price is more expensive per dose than 40's, and you can't go buy it at a convenience store.
