I hope people enjoy D&D stories here, because I have an original from tonight. Party (ranger, fighter, bard) enters a dungeon, pretty dark, fighter is the only one without dark vision Find secret room, trapped with a fireball spell that is only level 1 trap goes off when you pick up a necklace of fireballs No big, level 1 fireball is a bitch, everyone succeeds Later Party enters dark room filled with corpses Fighter stands awkwardly behind everyone Suddenly a mage shows up, the bodies form into 5 different flesh golems Fuck yes, right where I want them Ranger goes "ALUHAH AKBAR LUKE!" The bard bull rushes the ranger into a different room, it was his turn first What the hell are they doing? Suddenly remember the necklace of fireballs Fucking thing explodes when you fail a reflex against a magic fire attack, and you can choose to fail saves Fighter throws a 2d6 fireball at his own feet (this fucker is so going to kill himself isn't he?) MFW 36d6, 110 damage Fighter rolls 14 to save on the other fireballs exploding, barely succeeding His face when 1 health left
Are you trying to summon Katatonic?
YES HELLO KATATONIC IS HERE WHAT IS REQUIRED OF THE RACCOON LORD
If they're gonna pay $300 for basically a japanese display sword, at least go big and get a nodachi.
If you want to fight with swords why not join a fencing club or something? Probably wouldnt have to pay for your own equipment, and Im pretty sure fencing clubs have armories stocked with things other than rapiers and daggers. Also fencing is actually something that looks respectable. (User was banned for this post ("offtopic" - Orkel))
Still don't see what's so great about Katanas. They're built to cut down unarmoured peasants, can't take a strike from another weapon without shattering or becoming badly notched, were made out of inferior iron (Gotta give the smiths kudos for making the best of it, though) whereas, to use a common example, European swords are generally designed with versatility in mind, and can even be used to parry incoming strikes. Sure, they can't carry an edge like a bee's dick, but that's because they're built to hold that edge for more than the first five seconds of a battle.
Man, you can buy a cheap display katana for $50. If any of your friends paid $300 for one I'd feel sorry for them.
Yea but the 50$ display ones usually end up being shoddily made even for display ones. They look bad and aren't really worth it. If you actually want a good display one you're better off dropping an extra 50$ and getting the 100$+ ones. But some of the more stylized or detail ones can reach up to 300$.
Anyone have a link where I can buy this
Make a vector file and print it
Make a vector file and print it
you don't print it, you cut it
you don't print it, you cut it
Well, thats what I meant, make a vector file, cut it so theres no white background and print it with transfer paper
Well, thats what I meant, make a vector file, cut it so theres no white background and print it with transfer paper
or buy it online
Well, thats what I meant, make a vector file, cut it so theres no white background and print it with transfer paper
I guess that's one way to do it. At my work they use some kind of foil, and they literally cut it, strip away the excess, and it's applied with heat. Edit: content because I don't want to derail the thread too much

Apparently these things use HTML and somebody doesn't know how to use it Can anybody spot what went wrong?
I'd imagine only people who are serious collectors. Owning an actual Katana would be at least a few thousand dollars down the drain. Even basic sword training is pretty expensive.
Gotta say though, it must be pretty fun, sparing with someone and all that.
