While a lot of the more ridiculous posts are spoofs or done ironically, I do find that the actual issues do inspire the sort of insane cruelty you see being parroted by these other posts.
There's been more than a few times I've seen people unironically saying that all hetero white men are awful/need to be killed/etc as a result of some inane issue, and the posters seem to be completely unaware of the ridiculous amount of hypocrisy involved.

You see, that screams irony to me, and over the internet you can't really determine it for sure either way, because people can and will play the part to the bitter end. I guess it's just a bizarre fact of anonymity, where enter social movements could hypothetically be a giant joke without anybody really being able to tell the difference.
