No it didn't. The United States produced almost 1000 of the Renault FT-17 tank from 3 separate manufacturers under the name of the [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M1917_light_tank"]M1917 Light Tank[/URL]
Not to say the designs being in metric wasn't a problem. Less than 1000 were produced of the 4400 ordered because the american manufacturers had a hard time with the metric measurements, but it didn't stop us from doing it anyway

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't use anything made by people that couldn't do a simple metric to imperial calculation, or just go buy some fucking metric rulers.

Uh, it's not that simple when it comes to manufacturing a tank or something else on this scale.
You can't just convert the units to imperial, because then things won't be as accurate and you might even have major problems with fitting, and they can't just "buy some fucking metric rulers" when 100% of their factory and assembly line is set up to work in imperial units.
We're not talking about some kindergarten arts and crafts project. We're talking about an already built and established assembly line. All of their tools and equipment is set up for imperial. They'd have to spend millions and millions of dollars retrofitting the entire factory to work with imperial to produce the tanks.
Which is probably what they did.

Novadays all that matters in phones is pretty much hardware (battery, screen, cpu, camera).
Samsung is expensive. Not as bad as apple, but you still pay for the brand.
tl;dr it's probably cheap, so chances are you won't be disappointed with what you buy considering price.
Also the chinese "knockoffs" have funny names.
