this is common practice dude. I know many people who do this, myself included. We don't have a lot of room so we'll put some pans in the oven because you're usually not using the oven nearly as much as the range.

on the range? That's a no brainer. You dont keep the pans on the range cause you need to use the range, so you put them in the oven. Need to use the oven? put them on the range because you're not using the range.
Using both at the same time? Temporarily clear a spot.
It's really not that hard.....
