It's kind of hard to tell because of the perspective but Dad in the background is also carrying only a pistol, so I'm going to assume he's holding a shotgun in his other hand behind Mom's back and you can only see what extends past her. The barrel from the middle son creates an optical illusion where your brain thinks the pistol turns into the shotgun.
I'm 99% sure that's what's going on because Mom is also holding a pistol/shotgun.

Their store is 2 stories. The entire bottom is wall to wall guns. Probably like 25,000+ in the store. Last time I talked to one of the employees he said they have an off-site warehouse with like 4x as many guns that just "Don't fit in the store"

The upstairs is the actual pawn shop area. They have a full wall of guitars, bass guitars, banjos, violins, violas, cellos, and upright bass. At least 3 drum sets, a huge section of power tools, military surplus gear, helmets, jewelry, etc

Hey now, that was just the first shot that came up. Place is Collector's Firearms and they have radio ads all the time here in Houston. About 1/2 the store is generic shotguns, rifles, hunting supplies, etc - rest is a collection of random stuff, collectors items, and handguns. And when I say random, I mean you could walk in and get some (somewhat rough) WWI/WWII pieces, take a few steps down and see a motherfucking Gyrojet pistol complete with ammo.
But, so far, I've never seen a place straight up packed with paramilitary/Class-III stuff. I'm sure they exist, but the most I ever see is the occasional M2HB for sale.

Every gun store I've been to has basically the same story.
Guns are an honest-to-god American pastime regardless of your opinion on them.

I haven't actually heard of anyone down here losing their life or limb from any gun accidents despite so many of my friends actually owning firearms. Hell, most people I know get injured from fucking with gators. My uncle lost his thumb to a gator he found on his property, just because he wanted to wrestle it.
