As much as I love(d) Phoenix Wright, I thought the movie would only appeal to hardcore fans. If you know nothing about the series then you would probably not understand anything and just think the movie was badly explained and just terrible.
I also cringed at that scene in the movie, sorta in a good way I guess. The trope of characters falling down after someone says something stupid isn't even done in modern anime anymore.
They nailed Larry though, kudos to the actor.
Requesting a DnD story where they guy goes onto some roleplaying community and comments about the bar have so many corner booths that has it own hyper reality of edgy characters. From what I remember he was an unarmed monk and fought with a guy called Squidgead. Adding onto this they basically were targeted by GMs to basically kill them but they'd never die and they ended up being a mega OP character because of a flaw in their system,
