I know in the Australian Army you can only grow a mustache if you go to your CSM (Company Sergeant Major) and ask, he then gives you a form that gives you up to 2 weeks to be able to grow your mustache to the appropriate length. If you fail to reach the length you have to shave it off.
It must also follow certain guidelines; not below the top lip, not outside of the corner of the lip, under a certain length.

Facial hair is a sign of power and respect in middle eastern culture, the military lets their special forces units grow tacti-beards because they deal with tribal elders and informants.
Also from time to time you will see regular grunts having (slight) facial hair due to the conditions they have at an forward operating base. Their grooming standards are sometimes lax depending on their commanding officers disposition towards manliness and freedom.

Late to reply but come on dude, if you just WATCHED wrestling you would get it.
Everybody knows wrestling is fake, but the performances are real. The stunts are real, the spectacle is real. It's similar to watching a kung-fu movie or watching an acrobatics performance. You know Jackie Chan isn't in real danger when he's holding a baby and fighting men in a ladder factory, but it's still fun to watch because of the stunts. Wrestling is the same.
Anybody that gets all smug when they say "wrestling is fake" is basically saying shit like "ugh you can't watch The Avengers, all of the action is CG so it's fake!!!" and then you smell your own farts.

I remember how in the earlier WWE video games, if you attacked a ref he would be able to reverse every attack you tried and would whoop your ass every single time you tried to knock him out.
