It's a pretty bland game. You kill things, they kill you, rinse, repeat.
I wish it wasn't in my steam library anymore.

I feel like need to reconsider your life in general if just seeing some gifs with "dark souls" over it somehow makes you sick of it to the point where you can't play the game anymore
I've seen a lot more than that.
The game isnt even as "hard" as people make it out to be. The entire game is just trial and error really, and unless you were dropped on your head as a kid you should complete it fairly easy in a day or two.

It's exactly how others have started hating Frozen without even seeing the movie because they've seen many pictures of it

Who actually hates Justin Bieber? People kept hearing about this dude whose music they did not enjoy. That itself is what's bothersome. Why would you hate a person for other people sharing their content?
I understand that you would start associating these feelings with the subject itself as is the case here and not want to play Dark Souls anymore, and that's fine, but being so sick of seeing it that you wouldn't play it anymore based on that makes me think that you just chose to consume some other media that got you to that point, so your decisions lead you to the point. The game is not to blame.

No it's trial an error. Sure you can see patterns etc in their attacks but you still have to choose paths to go to, what weapons to use, what resistances and weaknesses the enemies have, if you can block/parry the attacks, if they can be backstabbed and more. or you can just read the wiki and remove 50% of the fun in the game.
