I started with the original gif, and traced the tracks:

I then remove the background to optimize the measuring of the angle:

I relocated the angle to compensate for player camera angle:

And finally I further optimized it by making the tracks straight, and measured it with my handy dandy protractor and came to the conclusion it is in fact 90 degrees:

I'd just kill some nearby thing, use it's corpse as a storage unit, fast travel, sell, return to makeshift storage unit, repeat until all loot was sold.

Same logic applies to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Overencumbered? Getting exhausted too quickly? Stick all of your loot in a dead bandit and drag his body through the Zone until you reach a trader.
