Back then that shit was top of the line for a video game. Right now, we're capable of better than what we see in that bottom screenshot but are held back due to older tech just because it holds a larger market share. It's not so much "that bottom image looks like shit" but "we CAN do better, but we're not". or you can just call me an elitist pcfag. Cause there's no way around it, Rockstar had to do a LOT of hacky shit and had to learn over several games how to squeeze that much out of that old of technology. Rockstar isn't alone, pretty much any large scale game developer has had to learn the black magic of developing fantastic graphics out of consoles.
