netflix has a contract for how long they can stream the movie/shows to people, and they pay for as long as they provide that availability
netflix couldnt keep every movie available for streaming forever

There are many films and tv shows that netflix has temporarily. Usually it has to do with deals netflix makes with production studios or distributors.
