You can fix it by repacking the extension yourself, go to the extension page and click load unpacked extension, then navigate to your AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions folder and find the folder for the extension,
it will be a big long string of letters but it will match the ID just below the extension in the list.
Select it, refresh the extension page, enable it. You might need to have chrome in developer mode.
