It's a win lose, you get free gold member when you do it but it only lasts until you get perm banned then its gone. That's why they are usually banned within minutes, however that guy lasted a whole hour!

There are only two ways to check out of Facepunch. The first is to go out in a massive meltdown and get banned, and the second more dignified move is to post that cat and get banned.
You can never leave though.
