Nah, that's echidnas. The thing pictured is a baby hedgehog, otherwise known as a hoglet or an urchin. Notice how it's trying to suckle? Echidnas don't have nipples and secrete milk directly through the skin. That and the fact that neither its mouth nor tongue are all that long is a giveaway in determining which animal you're looking at. Anyway, they (like nearly all other mammals barring echidnas and platypuses) give live birth, but they're covered in a sort of membrane that keeps the mother hedgehog (sow) safe.
