Reminds me of last year at my dorm.
We were all just chilling in my room, (which is the closest one to the bathroom), and one of my hallmates calmly walks in. "Hey guys, gonna borrow your water bottle for a sec. The toilet seat is on fire"
After a second absorbing that, we follow him. He wasn't lying. There was a collective grunt of confusion and then we finished our Smash Bros game.
Never did figure out who it was. But we did get a new toilet seat. The old one was kinda broken anyway. The policeman that our RA had to call in couldn't keep a straight face while telling us not to set the toilets on fire.

Besides the camera was very likely rented (you never buy that sort of equipment when shooting movies, for many reasons) and probably had a healthy insurance placed on it so it wouldn't take that long to just replace it.
