I always finds this silly. Like, do you people really not understand how genres and target audience affect the way reviewers are going to review a game?
Like, Pong 4 might be a great game, a stellar reboot to Pong, and as far as Pong goes it's amazing and no one would say it's a bad pong game so it's gonna get like a 9/10. But it's fucking Pong and it ain't shit compared to Super Meat Boy or whatever. But are you supposed to give Pong a 2/10 because you're comparing it to SMB, or are you going to give it a 9/10 because [i]a person interested in Pong games will be the one looking to see how Pong 4 does compared to other Pong games, not someone interested in SMB[/i].
