I was always wondering why my computer was crashing to a blue screen exactly like that one. Now I know.
I've never once had an overheating issue with any of my Nvidia cards
I have never had a heat problem with my Nvidia, and i've always had Nvidia.

What is your brain?
In the winter, norwegians use their nvidia cards to heat their homes.
Source; i do
[sp]flagdog is lying[/sp]
Using your pc to heat your home is effective as fuck tbh, you can turn off your radiator and save some cash that way.

A friend of mine has two GTX 480s.
They run at 110C when playing games.
He does not need radiators in the winter.

Omg what have I done. Didn't expect a full page dedicated to AMD vs Nvidia after posting that picture :|
I'm going to predict an nVidia fanboy will photoshop this and replace nVidia with AMD.
Then call out AMD for making shitty products.
Why did you have to turn this into an AMD vs Nvidia thread for fucks sake
Shitty posters like you consistently ruin LAMO pics with shitty arguments and debates that nobody gives a fuck about

This happens every few pages, someone post something and then everyone else posts things related to it.
Why freak out, it always ends pretty quickly.

as a person who had a computer with intel gma graphics, and htpc with AMD graphics, and with the computer I am using now that has a nvidia GTX, I can confirm this to be completely true.
Intels graphics are stable but cant do anything (although they improved a lot over these last few years to their credit
that AMD graphics computer took weeks of drivers fiddling before I could actually use it
and in my current nvidia computer, well... it has one of them AMD 8 core cpus which are known famously for over heating. I OVERCLOCKED mine, and it STILL does not reach the temperatures my nvidia 560 does

see this is wrong because it's implying that PS4 and WiiU are somewhere close to being the same level as PC

With 52c while I'm playing Minecraft, I can vouch for that.
Heck, I considered to overclock my Radeon 7950 in the winter just to heat the room. My parents were too cheap to turn up the heat last year, so I bought a portable heater back then.
nvidia 560 does
And there's the crux of the problem right there. Nvidia's Fermi architecture (GeForce 400 and 500 series*) ran hot as fuck, due to a combo of poor cooling and just not being engineered to run cool. They have an accurate rep for being hot, but in their defense, they're at least stable at those high temperatures.
Kepler (GeForce 600 series, most of the 700 series*) brought a focus on reduced power consumption, and now Maxwell (745, 750, 750 Ti, and probably the 800 series) is doing the same. Kepler doesn't run much hotter than an AMD GCN card (particularly the high-end cards that use the Titan cooler), and Maxwell is very efficient.
* Nvidia keeps old architectures around for bottom-end chips. Fermi still shows up in cards even in the 700 series, so all of those I'm listing are general statements, not 100% true.
My god, for a thread about posting funny content it sure is autistic in here.

IIRC It's from when Xbone still had the always online DRM and no games at E3.
