I can't take this movie seriously because the "humans use 10% of their brain" is a myth and has been confirmed false by hundreds of thousands of scientists, anyone with google who uses at least 1% of their brain can just figure it out. it just seems like they pulled the entire premise of the movie out of their ass all that consciously using 100% of your brain would do is make it so that you have to manually breath, digest, beat your heart, send signals to your nervous system, filter out toxins in your body, and all the other bullshit that your body just does automatically. You would not be able to fucking freeze time or get super mind control powers, that's just stupid.
I'm all for suspension of disbelief but they gotta put effort into making their bullshit at least somewhat plausible There were plenty of other ways they could have approached this whole transcending human limitations shtick without resorting to stupid myths like the 10% myth

The entire plot was just delivery for the message/subtext that Luc Besson was trying to convey. If you put aside that getting magic powers by using more of your brain is stupidly insane it's actually quite an enjoyable movie

Most of the things You listed are done without brain. What is actually happening, is that some parts of our brain store memories, recognize face, judge distance between object or some other things. During MRI (or whatever examination was done to determine that 10%) we don't need or even can't do these things so it seems as if those parts are never used.

Weimaraners are the best dogs [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7578622/Pictures/Dogs/maddie3.jpg[/t] Trust me [sp]she's kind of fat in this picture but she's lost that weight now so don't call my dog fat okay[/sp]
Weimaraners are the best dogs [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7578622/Pictures/Dogs/maddie3.jpg[/t] Trust me
Except that they're like twice as ugly as every other dogbreed lol
'ugly' my family owns two weimaraners and we'll be getting two more some time in the future. They the best looking dogs I've ever seen.
It just looks like somebody overdid the phong shader on them.
They trust drivers to asses incoming traffic? That's a mighty big dose of wishful thinking right there
It works pretty well brah. Saves time.
Hold the fucking phone. This whole 'right on red' thing is because you don't have green arrows on your traffic lights? They're on pretty much every set of traffic lights on a two lane road in Melbourne.
Australia drives on the opposite side of the road from us; I'm not sure if that's confusing you. [t]http://free-photos.co/albums/every-day-objects/traffic-lights-hanging-by-wire.jpg[/t] Here's typical American traffic lights, though a configuration might be different for a larger or smaller road. The guy on the right can choose to turn right on any light, but on red he has to look to the left and check. The guy on the left is completely A-OK to turn left if he has a green arrow (beneath this yellow arrow). If he only has a regular green light, he can choose to turn left, but he must yield to oncoming traffic (if a sign is posted permitting the move).
Do those shaker things actually do anything?
They were designed to make you "drop fat" by exciting the cellulite until it eventually dropped out of your hips and into your ankles. Of course they were a flop, though.
