I have never seen anyone clap after the anthem, like ever. Maybe at a presidential inauguration, but that's for an entirely different reason, usually a school band or a famous singer leads it (the applause is directed at them, not the anthem itself).
You're not supposed to clap after the National Anthem I thought. Or is that just Taps?
It's always nice when someone just yells "America!" after the Anthem though.

almost every time you hear a national anthem you follow it with clapping and cheering
at any school event, sports game, pretty much the only places you hear the national anthem, there is always clapping and cheering
literally just search youtube for the american national anthem and every video will end in cheering and applause
