Or if not, to what extent are these supposedly computer generated? because they don't look computer generated at all, and require a bunch of human contextual thinking.

For anyone wondering, that's last year's season of Sentai (japanese power rangers). It's called Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, and is about these 5 (and by the end of the show, 10) jackasses and their electric dinosaur robots they summon by dancing to samba music and shooting themselves. Yep.
This screenshot is from a post-show movie that takes place 100 years later and focuses on the descendants of the team, taking a chance to poke fun show itself sometimes.
