Emoji's were originally things like <(0_0)> mainly popular in japan. We in the west had our own stuff called emoticons which were tiny pictures you see on your phone. Somewhere down the line we starting calling Emoticons Emojis for some reason.

'Emoji' means "Picture-character", they're different from emoticons like <(0_0)> because they use mutiple characters, while an Emoji uses only one space.

I have a confession, LMAO. I really really dislike Polandball. Sure, once in a while a good one might come along (I really liked Hide-and-seek with Argentina) but most of the time it seems to be boring cliché stereotypes used as props in cheap jabs. Where is the funny? Is it some form of nationalistic self-fellation or are they deliberately asinine?
