That reminds me how if you don't manually print each page out, the printer at work spits out a schematic that's about 2" by 1.5" on a piece of 11" x 7" paper instead of, you know, at 11x7.

You're not taking it all into account though.
Those printers are CYMK so $75 per toner 4x = $300 / 3000 pages (assuming the colors are used at the exact same rate which they aren't) = $0.1 / page
Not to mention the four drums ($125 ea) and the whole printer costs $1500+
