I find it genuinely interesting that pixelated camo might blend better than patchy camo
You see digi camo in civilian fashion but I didn't know it actually saw military service
Is that thing set to fully automatic? The second picture's focus point is way off.

(usually useless) friend took the pic. amazed that he even found the on switch on that, he usually looks like he is baked as fuck.
Um, seriously? Almost every army has digi camo as their standard pattern nowadays. The US Army, US Marines, Canadian army the list goes on.
Um, I'm not a soldier
Nor an enthusiast
Pretty cool though from a trivia point of view
Went to a Sci Fi convention yesterday and got to try on a Judge Helmet.

Making smokey bubbles. Take a toke, use that breath to make a bubble, poke the bubble and it pops with a puff of smoke. Bonus: get high at the same time

I think these were taken on the the fourth day (second day of bands)
We stayed in a tent until late afternoon, cuddling, getting stoned and drawing on each other. Consequently we missed loads of bands but it was worth it.

That one exposed what we called "tiger toe", although I can guarantee it was just an unfortunate crease in the onesie.
Also props to those who noticed that the guy with the beard is in fact Justin Case, and he drew the chicken, moose, elephant and depressed whale on my arms, we laughed at that for hours

Your mountaineering weather is way too pleasant.
Here's me(left) with a group I was leading up on Snowdon this weekend.

That would shit me up, I'm terrified of fog. The other night there was a relatively thick mist outside so I had to mentally prepare myself before I ran from my car to the front door but then I dropped my keys and it god it was horrible it felt like some thing was gonna rip off my legs.
Please see Stephen Kings "The Mist"
To everyone else its utter shite but to you it will be the most horrifying film you have ever seen.
its not really a bad movie imo, it got lots of mixed reviews afaik
also, i think fog in general is really pretty, not creepy
there's just
something
really
mistical about it

Interesting, most people are more terrified of slipping on the damp rock and falling to their deaths. I prefer fog to high winds when I'm out in the hills.
Are you scared of the dark too?
while we're on this subject of misty mountains.

thats at the top of a mountain called The Cobbler, just at the start of the Scottish Highlands. There's a hole in the middle of that pinnacle that you have to clamber through to get to the top. it wasn't until the fog cleared that i realised there's a 1000 foot drop all around it. in hindsight, kinda dumb

Eye of the needle is a pretty sweet piece of rock, so much good walking, climbing and bouldering on it, sad it falls just tragically short of being a Munro.

When I was on holiday recently I was jumping from rock to rock like a little monkey kid, it was great! The only part that I froze at was when I had to swim through a canyon. I knew I was scared of deep and/or dark water but I didn't know it was that bad.
I'm not scared of the dark though, at least I don't think I am. I still run upstairs at night after I've turned the light out but once I'm in my room I'm fine

The fog thing is the same as the cloud thing - and it's because when I was little there was this crochet picture my great granny made for my brother and it was a teddy bear was sitting on some clouds that used to frighten me. It was near my door and I didn't trust it when I went past. I think it manifested and now I'm just scared of clouds and fog and sometimes when people are outside in the cold and you can see their breath that creeps me out too.
Swans can just fuck off, I'm not scared of them I just have a personal vendetta because a bunch of them chased me and took my ice cream when I was 7

Up on the ridge line of crib goch it is much the same as the top of the cobbler, the drops on either side of the knife edge are up to 300m in places and you have the choice of wandering along the very top which is mostly about shoulderwidth wide or hanging over the side so you can traverse sideways (it's a bit like this I did earlier in summer but a lot higher http://•••••••••com/l3s6hru). You would not catch me bopping from rock to rock along the top of that, but I know what you mean when it's a little lower!
