I have never seen a septum piercing look good on a dude. This is no exception. Coming from a person that really likes piercings in general, too. Other than that, I really like that leather jacket.
Is it really that hard to believe that a woman can be into firearms, she has had her conceal permit as long as me but never had anything worth carrying. This is her christmas list. Some girls just like guns, what can I say. How does that make us violent people? We are not paranoid tinfoil hat people that draw a gun on anything that moves. Me and my wife both come from families with military and police backgrounds, guns have always been in our lives. It is possible to be responsible ya know.
How are you violent people? Her first request is pink camo knife, like for fuck's sake :v: [editline]24th December 2013[/editline] And something Pistol at the top of yours as well I mean marksmanship is a valid hobby sure but when your top priorities for things to own are various types of weapons and weapon accessories, that seems unhealthy
I don't understand why some people assuming the desire for a gun or knife instantly makes them "unhealthy" or "unstable" I got a rifle for my 16th birthday. I happen to enjoy shooting tin cans and collecting historic rifles. I have never and will never shoot at or near a person. But some would instantly assume I'm unhinged because I enjoy collecting something that could kill a person providing I wanted to make it happen. You could say the same thing about a cook's knife collection.

Probably something like a boy who wanted to play drums but never could and one day he met someone and then he could play drums. Based on a true story
I hope I'm this recklessly badass one day
What can I say, I'm an absolute society destroying badass.
Which shop did you go to? I think I've been to the one with that screwed up doll(?) in it before.
It was called Search and Destroy on Saint Marks. It was like a really just nuts store and was kinda fucking crazy.

Because you're blindly judging him and his wife for a recreational object they obviously collect. What would you say to the collectors that have 100+ firearms? The fact that it can kill someone doesn't make it a violent object, it just requires a more responsible person to own it.

Do you guys in this thread just argue about anything and everything possible :v:
I'm 24 and she is 23. That's pretty much the point, I have no idea how you're different from some open carry retard or some bible thumper living on a compound or something. And ever if to all appearances you're totally cool and normal, I could pull up a big list of similar people who then went on a rampage or whatever. I mean at the root of it, i'm just saying that enthusiasm for these ugly objects designed solely to kill other people and animals with seems odd in terms of base values to me. I realise that you live somewhere that justifies owning a gun, if every fucker and his dog was potentially armed I'd probably consider having a gun in my house. I'm sure it's not a problem that can be solved at this point. But that doesn't change my opinion that the idea of ordinary people walking around with guns on them is really gross and a fucking awful part of any society model. Responsible or not who fucking cares
With guns you can go and shoot targets and shit and have fun whilst doing so But what the fuck do you do with a combat knife? Run around stabbing inanimate objects like a maniac?

I doubt she's going to go ahead stabbing and slicing shit, and there's even less of a chance that she'll use it on a person. I don't understand what the big deal is with you people. Can't someone just have things that they like without there being a huge fuss about it? There really isn't anything at all wrong with a gun, it all boils down to what the person who owns it does with it. I agree, that people shouldn't have to be walking around wielding a gun, but that doesn't make it disgusting. Besides, it's not like they're going to turn into a gun-toting couple, arm in arm and gun in hand every day of their lives. A gun doesn't have to be a terrible weapon, it can be a tool for self-defense or an object of recreation. It could also just be a piece in someone's collection, collecting dust until the day its owner dies.

I'm going to start making and collecting nail bombs i'm only using them recreationally it's okay
I'm going to start making and collecting nail bombs i'm only using them recreationally it's okay
That's a pretty gross and exaggerated example of mocking someone's interest in guns you've got there. You don't have to kill a person, or anything with a gun for that matter. It doesn't have to be used against a person. I mean, just look at Iceland and their police force. It wasn't until recently that someone was shot and killed by police (and he attacked them,) and since its independence in 1944, that means a person hadn't been killed by firearms there for about 70 years. Although it has a low crime rate and gun ownership across the country (pretty much the extreme opposite from the US,) it still all depends on what someone does with their gun.
Nowhere is safe from gun arguments.
So you're saying I can't act responsibly and safely with nail bombs?
So you're still going to exacerbate things and be immature about this? A nail bombs only purpose/use has been to terrorize and kill people, and it's mostly been used against innocent civilians. Of course, a nail bomb can just sit in someones garage and be forgotten about, but that doesn't go against the fact that they're illegal and pretty much only used to slaughter innocent civilians. People can be pretty responsible with guns, and they don't have to be used to kill. Let's not keep this going any further, we've really gone way off-topic.
Nowhere is safe from gun arguments.
To be fair, if everybody had guns then there wouldn't be these kind of arguments in the first place so ultimately pro gun people win this is a joke

See which nail bomb has the most range, potential damage, perhaps experiment with different projectiles. A nail bomb doesn't have to be used to kill.

But when you initially brought that up, I was convinced you were just being a smartass.
Yep guess I'm pretty sheltered, I've never heard of a recreational combat knife before
A combat knife? It's a fucking pink knife. Why is it assumed that a pink knife is such a weapon of mass destruction? Like TAU said, it just depends on what she'd use it for. Knives can be used as a tool in a wide range of purposes, not just to maniacally stab everything she sees. But whatever, chalk it up to a difference in cultures or whatnot. I'm not going to threadshit any more.

Done lots of travelling as well, including to america (though I don't suppose any of that is really relevant to what I think) And the argument you're getting at that guns don't kill people, people kill people, is really beside the point of any gun related debate imo. A gun essentially is the power of life and death in a small device at the push of a button. People should not be allowed to own them. It's a dystopian nightmare concept. it doesn't matter if it's the Dalai Lama who owns the gun. I can guarantee you if I owned a gun I would never shoot anybody unnecessarily with it, but that doesn't mean in any way that I think I should be entitled to have one. Any such example is null and void anyway, because it's not just me who might own the gun, it's not the collector who owns the gun, it's not the sensible housewife. It's anyone. Anyone can own the gun, and that scenario is fucked
