jesus fucking christ
who cares if somebody are into guns or knifes or whatever, let people spend their lifes doing what interests them
agreed, although it's difficult when it comes to guns because my outlook on things is generally that if it doesn't hurt anyone then it doesn't matter. I know that not everyone with a gun is a maniac, but at the same time it's a weapon designed to kill or harm and those are things I do not agree with. I disagree with bloodsport because I believe that life is precious and beautiful and that it's cruel to kill something for fun.
Although it fascinates me with what draws people to things like guns, perhaps it's empowering to hold such an object in your hand
wow the faramir looks really really good. all of em look good
Faramir is one of my favourites. I can't drink Bilbos because years ago when I completed the fellowship in one night (back when it was only 5 cocktails and the 5 shots) and I ended it on a Bilbo. I chundered and the vomit was literally just Bilbo, put me off orange juice for months. Citrus and alcohol should not be mixed in the same beverage
Because people here are very judgmental and extremely stuck in their ways and can't look at things from other peoples' viewpoints.
"people are very judgemental", ha
and yet if you didn't grow up shooting tin cans with real firearms you're somehow sheltered
i don't understand why americans get so aggressive over people disagreeing with their culture
i mean, ask anyone from literally any other country about something they do and they'll go "yeah man at this point it's just tradition i guess"
then say something about an american thing like "yo, biscuits n gravy are gross" and you'll get yelled at about how you're sheltered and an idiot for not thinking that biscuits and gravy are the best thing in the world
there's a difference between disagreeing with someone's culture and calling them barbaric violent psychopaths because they like to collect things.
now everyone shut the fuck up about it.
the way i've seen it in this particular case is that the gun Brodi bought for his girlfriend (and please correct me if i'm wrong) is a gun that she intends to carry concealed, it is not a gun that was purchased as a tool for a hobby i.e. shooting, and that's why it's seen differently than to items that people collect for various 'sports', e.g. if it'd been a rifle/shotgun or something like that.
and it's not a jab at your lady Brodi, seems like more of another case of most of the world not understanding america's mindset when it comes to a lot of deadly weapons, and i'm certainly one of them.
Being raised in a society where we're not surrounded by guns we're likely to be biased against them, although I'm very grateful to know that people around me don't have the ability (I will clarify, not the will to, but the ability) to kill me.
anyway back on topic here's me poling around

Hey tania can you do that thing where it looks like you're walking in mid air?
Hey tania can you do that thing where it looks like you're walking in mid air?
It's not something I've tried, I'll give it a go when classes start again in the New Year and get back to you. Being upside down is great fun though
tania do the gun debate pose
Oh and the knife thing, I can kind of understand it as a collectable thing, a few of my friends have sets of katanas (always arranged on the window cill I've noticed) and they're not violent people and have no intention of using them. I guess they're there for decorative purposes. a combat knife is a little less decorative but I suppose it's the same concept
Here in Australia, a lot of us use knives in our daily lives. I wouldn't go anywhere without my bowie on me - there's always a need for it, specially given I live on a large property and in a coastal area with lots of wildlife and bushland (I rescue wildlife, so the knife can really come in handy to help free something or gather things needed to treat or feed them).
Anyway, knives I get, guns I don't, they're not so much of an Australian thing. We've had a shotgun in the family for about 40 years now and I don't believe it's ever been fired.

Just that look on her face is priceless lol
Oh hey I found it. Took this picture a day before major sinus surgery so I could compare in the future. Then I forgot about it till now.

I can't do facial hair. There are just little spots where hair refuses to grow. I could be stranded on an island for 40 years and I'd just have a very long goatee, mustache, and sideburns, with perfectly smooth baby skin spots in between.
Thankfully, I don't think my nose looks any different. Works different though. Neato.
Hair could use a cuttin'.

I'm sorry.
I wish I lived on the coasts of Australia. Queensland? That's the only coastal place I know.

Strewth mate... Looks just like my knoife. But yes, Queensland in the South-East. Not exactly knife-worthy like the outback, but we've got our fair share of critters to deal with.

Yuppers, been keeping us busy with painting and other odds and ends.
please accept my new identity as a reindeer
transreindeer
I like how everyone who isn't american bothers to type out paragraphs of what they actually think concisely, then the pro-gun people just fire off a line of name calling with no argument behind it whatsoever
(I suppose TAU is the exception but I still don't consider his argument valid)
It comes off as a big "Your opinion denounces the way I've been brought up and I hate that, but I have nothing to say for myself in my defense so I'll just try to poke you in the eye instead"
Is that a legitimate move or whatever? It doesn't strike me as very graceful :v:

oh fuck please dont kill me
hahahhaha!
A cook's knife collection was created to prepare food. Guns were created to massacre people. There's a pretty big, morbid difference.
yeah seriously guys, I'm a gun owner and i literally shot up at least 3 school busses on the way home from work to day. these massacre weapons are just nuckin futs
Everyone shut up and take this to mass debate or something, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and fighting with other nerds on a forum about it is utterly pointless
I compiled a bunch of photos of me throughout the year and honestly I don't know what the fuck happened to me but I'm glad I did.
