So I thought I might do some show and tell with you guys today since I am staying up to watch the sunrise, so I have some time on my hands. First a little back story, I am currently pretty crazy about longboarding (not cruising around, like downhill (going fast and hand down slides) and freeriding (sliding my board while standing up)) and very recently I was doing downhilling in the large parking garages in downtown Dallas and I bent one of my kingpins. Basically a kingpin is a thick cylinder of metal that is put in the middle of the truck for the bushings to push the hanger back to center after doing a turn/slide. So as said downhilling is going fast and the garages in Dallas are about 13 stories high and you can get about 30 mph in there (which isnt that fast in the world of downhilling, but youre still going 30 mph with minimal padding) and anyways on one of these routine runs I get to the bottom and do a coleman to stop which is basically leaning off your board and pushing it forward with one hand on the ground forcing it go perpendicular then 180 slide to stop. Well I underestimate how fast I am going and it being about the 20th run my legs are pretty tired so it immediately whips around the entire 180 instead of holding it perpendicular to the lane. So I hit a curb which houses the elevator to go back up and luckily I dont get hurt, but I bent that thick ass piece of metal that is designed for trucks that can go up to 50 mph pretty comfortably. Anyways enough words, here is the bent kingpin: So yea, I booking it pretty hard to make that bastard bend. Anyways while we're on the topic I wanted to show you all my chopped board I made, basically this board was 38 inches with a popsicle cut out so it could be drop through mounted, but it was one of my starter boards so it got beat up pretty bad and eventually broke. So I got a buzz saw and chopped off both ends and sanded it down and drilled in new holes using the old nose piece as a stencil. It is pretty short being only 28 inches now, but it is fun as hell to mess around on. The board is a Rayne Vendetta, damn light and was a blast before and after the surgery. And to fix the truck that had the bent kingpin, I had to take apart the entire thing and put in an older kingpin from some older trucks I no longer ride. Here is the other original kingpin since it didnt get bent: And here's the truck with the replacement for comparison: It was a pain in the ass tightening both of them to have the same resistance since theyre majorly different lengths so I had to do a bunch of trial and error test rides on it to get it evened out.
You should be a gunslinging haberdasher with that mustache.
That is some hideous facial hair.
That is some hideous facial hair.
Well man, you're entitled to your opinion! I am sure plenty of other people hate it as well, but you can't please everyone.

Where is that? It looks like Winnats Pass.
Cool pictures man. Where is that? It looks like Winnats Pass.
10 points. It's Elbow Ridge in Winnats Pass, Derbyshire. I'm hyping myself up for Matterhorne ridge (the one directly to the left of it which is a vdiff) and the pass ridgeline on the other side of the pass(grade 3 severe). They'd be a doddle in rock shoes with a rope but I prefer the challenge of taking them as scrambles.
coached for soccer (youth, high school, and adult teams) for the longest time, but no driver's ed. stuff as far as i know.
Oh, he just looked a ton like my track coach, who was also my drivers Ed teacher
if your stash makes you happy keep it. don't let some nerds make you self conscious about it.
Uh man it isnt even that big of deal lol, they dont like it who cares. Also I hate it when someone calls someone else a nerd on the internet, it is like people playing a videogame and saying "get a life" to other players.
first of all I am flattered, thank you second, this is my process: 1. dab a small amount (half a fingerprint size) onto finger 2. lather it in your hands 3. use hands to brush through front of hair, make sure it all gets in 4. the most important step! use a towel vigorously to make your hair super-sayian mode while giving it a nice clean, matte look 5. use mirror to style it however you want; if hair is too hard to mess with, repeat step 4 warning: if step 4 is repeated too much, your hair will become harder to keep in place have fun getting all the bitches!
step 4 is genius thank you brother

I've been wanting to cut my hair, but can't make my mind up, so lately I more or less just wear this hat all the time.
First things first, shave off that mustache and beard. Mustaches only really look good if they're super fisticuffs or if they connect into a goatee. First hand experience here. Once you've shaven off that facial hair it'll be a lot easier to compare a good haircut.
Yeah, I usually do shave it, but I haven't really been out the past week.
