Don't know why I didn't think of him(sometimes a band) before but Mount Eerie. Mount Eerie makes both soft song like this. and this As well as more lo-fi and heavily distorted like this. Defiance, Ohio, Johnny Hobo and Gogol Bordello really should have more listeners, great lyrics and fun songs Defiance, Ohio - Petty Problems Johnny Hobo - New Mexico Song (live) Gogol Bordello - Sally

not really.. not until after being in transformers and their most recent album. they took a totally new approach with it and it blows. rating me dumb b/c it's true ok
They weren't really mainstream until their release of Minutes to Midnight which was a softer more melodic sound They were popular with their first and second albums but I wouldn't call them mainstream
Ukri 'Uge' Sevilenko also makes his own music

Evile, they're a newish thrash metal band that sound like slayer and metallica rolled into one. I don't know if they're well known but hardly any people i know have heard of them so ima post this anyway. Some of my favourite songs of theirs; Thrasher : Enter the grave : Infected Nation :

I think more people need to know about Talk Talk. They invented post-rock and they make some of the most beautifulest music ever. Also I don't get the point of men whining about stuff.
After The Burial deserve some more respect
Personally, I have to say Karnivool: and Dead Letter Circus :
My two favourite bands, I came into this thread just to post these :buddy:
In Grief definitely.
i could think of lots of rappers but bands i'm not sure, ummmm maybe tool? linkin park went p mainstream last year imo
Tool are pretty well known, and linkin park are a skidmark on societies musical underpants.
Agreed, Tool are pretty much a yardstick for as a modern prog rock/metal band. And Linkin Park were one of the biggest bands going around 2000-2004
Frightened rabbit are a pretty good Scottish band, never heard of too many fans. Also this fairly new band called Alpine are pretty darn good. last but not least Kyuss, Josh Hommes old band, also good.
The Thermals. I Don't Believe You Here's Your Future Now We Can See
last but not least Kyuss, Josh Hommes old band, also good.
Kyuss is so fucking good. The only bad thing is they haven't made music as a band in forever. I don't think they will ever reunite and this makes me sad :smith:
Another band: A Melodic Death/Doom Metal band known as
Swallow the Sun are probably the biggest melodeath/doom band :v: Then again it's a very underrated genre. Better than normal death/doom, definitely.
The Misfits
misfits are one of the biggest punk rock bands ever

I like Bellowhead, and they haven't got a whole lot of publicity. Also the Gaslight Anthem, it's like Bruce Springsteen meets Hot water music. Also Band of Skulls Also El-P, despite having quite science-fiction grounded lyrics, his words have a real meaning behind them Also Grinderman, because Nick Cave is fecking amazing Also Matisyahu, give Hassidic reggae a try at least Also Aloe Blacc, for fucks sake more people need to listen to these men! I pray some people in this thread watch these videos and like what they hear.
