I walk around an empty house at midnight with no lights on and don't freak out. You just have to try and stop thinking about it as difficult as that sounds and over time you'll get used to it.
I do the same, except there's usually stuff lying around where I walk so I make a fun little game of see if I can accidentally hurt myself.
You guys are scared from stuff like that? Last night, I was trying to go to sleep, and at 1:00 AM, right when I'm about to pass out, I hear a huge ass bang in my attic. No-one's been in the attic for a few months, so I was wide awake for 2 more hours. Now that is freaky shit. I'm still not going up there even though it's daylight. Edit: I should probably add that my house is haunted by a poltergeist, but you guys probably aren't that open-minded.

I sometimes had this when i was a kid, but now it just doesn't happen anymore. I never think about stuff that OP described, i just think about other things, for example about what happened to me during the day, what i'm going to do next day or whatever i was thinking about before i went to bed.
I have the same, but also when I sit at my computer I keep turning around in case something is there :ohdear:
I do this when i'm about to watch some porn :smug:
