Don't you hate it when you paint cardboard and the surface looks ten times more wavy, and ruins your day? :(
good work, though. I've tackled one or two projects similar to this :3
I leave it to the internet, and you guys do amazing things. Sometimes... Have a winner.
HOLY SHIT!
are you serious?
Have you ever been to Home Depot?
I got an idea, build some electrical stuff inside the grav gun, when you press a button it will play the pickup/punt sound. :D
PLEASE post the plans for the gravity gun.
If you do, I will give you an e-blowjob :3:
I'm going to fabricate a physic gun. I am thinking of using aluminum and stainless steel. Then I will add Plexiglas with blue lights inside and it will be on a loop in which it gives it a glowing effect. I don't know about the sounds though. I have to think of a "excuse name" for it to build it in engineering and manufacturing class. Any ideas?

You should see the jealousy on my face. I wish my college gave us access to construction tools like that, but our engineering program is less hand-on. :( I'm dying to take the grav gun to the next level with sound or light or even MOVING PRONGS, but there's no realistic way I can to that. Well, maybe lights (LEDs and colored transparencies), but audio and movement would be tough with just paper.
"excuse name"? How about something like "A Study in the Fabrication of Complex Geometric Shapes Incorporating Sophisticated Visual and Audio Effects"
What did you print the Gravity gun sheet with, and on what kind of paper (or whatever)?
I've been getting a little into papercraft, but I don't know enough about it to do anything large-scale like this.

Regular old cardstock paper, you can get it basically anywhere that carries stationery. The trouble was that single sections were printed onto multiple pieces of paper, so the margins had to be cut off and then the pieces were glued to another layer of cardstock. Also, don't use tape or gluesticks, use acid-free tacky glue, the stuff dries pretty fast and will NEVER let go.

:( Oh no i glued my face to the table!
Can you post crowbar instructions and model because megaupload is blocked because of my proxy :/

Oh, I'm not doing it at my college (I wish) But, I am able to get into my old highschool and do volunteer work. But that might work. They have a quite a few rules on making things. First one it cannot resemble a weapon of any type, or it cannot be used as one. Also for everything else (bongs, pipes, knucks, etc.) But I think that might actually work. The movable prongs will just require some engineering, mainly, I will have a jig set up inside of it where I just squeeze a trigger (which I place at the handle of the physic gun) and it will squeeze the prongs and when I release the trigger it will make the prongs retract to normal position. What I am really looking for is to somehow get the sounds to work. I don't know what to use.

Ooh, that means it has to "remember" wave data for that sound, that's not simple circuity... I have no idea how to go about that. I'd probably buy a pre-made kit or something for that purpose.

Here's the picture I used, it's way oversized though. I'd say shink it down by 40-50% and it should be about right.

And the fold lines

It's an adobe file, so this is really the best I can do.

Blowjob, will ya? :P
I'd say just call it by it's scientific name from HL2... what was it? Zero-Point Energy Field Manipulator? Just tell whoever is asking that it is a replica tool for a major project involving a ton of people. It's uses are only in scientific research, and therefore is not/does not depict a true weapon of any sort :D
I wonder, though, how do you plan to paint it?
Jesus Christ! This is hard. I keep messing up. I'll get it though.
Edit:
I'm having problems with the crowbar. The instructions are to unspecific.
speaking of unspecific instructions... What size paper did you use when you printed out the gravity gun? judging by the PDF, it would be quite small if I printed 8.5x11...
17x11(tabloid) maybe?
I will maybe make a gravitygun/physgun from something else than paper, maybe wood :o
Or maybe alumimium :P
I was thinking to put a laser inside :P I am quite experienced with highpowered lasers, and yes, you can see the beam, so it would be like a real Physgun

thought I'd revive this, because it was one of the things that inspired me to look into full-size papercrafting, and recently I have gone as far as creating the gravity gun for a costume (found at my ever so popular Cosplay thread and Papercraft thread). You helped to start it all!

Also, great avatar-message match, Funnymunk. Uncanny :v:
The lamba suit looks really good.
HOLY CRAP!
That is some hardcore papercraft.

nuff' said
Damn, that's nice dude.
I have a challenge for you, try making a whole combine soldier with person inside with a paper shotgun

Well, if it counts, I'm working on a Halo Spartan outfit and an Iron Man helmet for paintballing :3

Holy shit. You're not stealing this thread, I'm giving it to you, take it. Your ingenuity is amazing.
BUT... i like my grav gun better :holy:
Did you use the actual textures for the grav gun? looks like it. Anywya, the grav gun looks VERY realistic, because it is basically a carbon copy, great job! In fact, when I first looked at it, I thought you had composited the grav gun from the game onto your picture. :v:
