For instance, <char> could be "the guy who likes tacos" or "the stupid chick". Two-dimensional means they have details, moods and emotions, but not long-term motivation or "realness". Three-dimensional characters are, essentially, real. They behave like people, have details, quirks, mannerisms, and so on.
