Public Enemy (ft. Anthrax) - Bring the Noise On the subject of rap-rock/metal, I think this is awesome. Early 90's thrash + political rap. It's got Scott Ian rapping, which is awesome in a hilarious way. Both bands liked doing this so much that they went on tour together with it. Hell, Anthrax still plays this live sometimes.
Body count are pretty good, Ice T makes a good frontman
Jaydiohead was legendary, shame it was just a mix.

synthetic substitution
I like a lot of rap subgenres but I think my favourite and the one I listen to most often is Hardcore Underground. IT, AOTP and JMT have many good songs.
I went through a phase where that was my favorite, then realized it can be as corny and mediocre as ""mainstream"" stuff. I also moved on 'cause there's just so much good stuff out there.

I love Jurassic 5 so much, more than any other group or artist. Every single one of their songs has individuality and genius.
