Anyone know any Rap Rock though? Despite my crazy ass library/knowledge of music I have yet to find a strong basis on Rap Rock type stuff other than RATM which somewhat counts and is more of alternative rock than anything else.
reviving this motherfucker go listen to hyro da hero, he has a few mixtapes and one of the best albums ever, defines himself as 'gangsta rock' you might already know about him though seeing as its been 5 months

Honestly I think there needs to be a shoutout to Wiz Khalifa in this thread.
Thank you for this, I've been looking for a good source of old rap music
http://techno.org/electronic-music-guide/ Go to the breakbeat section
My rap guide is actually better than his rap section. He's a backpacker honkey nerd who doesn't know shit about rap.

You forgot Mobb Deep under NY Hardcore, and I believe they have a pretty special spot for themselves reserved there, as well as under the East Coast section. Deep, dark, and simple beats combined with raw and real lyricism, doesn't get much better really. While most people refer to Biggie as the East Coasts counterpart to Pac, I think Pac and Mobb Deep were much more in a comparable class.
I admit to liking Wiz Khalifa but fuck he needs new topics.
No mention of N.W.A.? Are you kidding me? Ice Cube's the man. And Sir Mix-a-Lot was pretty big in the late 80's/early 90's.
