It's a mellow and jazzy kind of Latin, and I heartily recommend it if you're into that kind of thing.
dude this is fucking great. nice bit of mpb.
Ak'z how did you break it that badly?
Akayz is on a locked groove
was that good though, no lie. I think I posted it exactly when FP broke down :v:

Also, it's free. http://crywank.bandcamp.com/album/tour-demos-2013
[img_thumb]http://www.actmusic.com/images/hi_res/ACT_9018-2.jpg[/img_thumb] Esbjörn Svensson Trio Leucocyte I might have posted this one sometime earlier, but regardless, this album is definitely worth a listen. It's very dark, gritty, experimental jazz. Sometimes it can sound even a bit creepy, but overall the atmosphere is one of the best I've ever heard. The whole thing feels incredible from start to finish. Not easy listening, but for those who can enjoy it, it's fantastic.
more people should know about Sandy Bull. very underrated. very ahead of its time (world jazz and a little psychedelic folk blended together in 1963!)
[editline]14th May 2013[/editline] in ways better than buena vista imo
Take Neu! Ramp up the synths a bit in a sort of spacer loungey way Remove Klaus Dinger and replace with Mobius and Roedelius from Cluster Result is one of the best krautrock albums I've heard so far
If you're a fan of post punk you all owe it to yourself to hear this album oh man
Sort of like the Young marble giants combined with female Morrissey vocals, and some Cure-esque guitar going on. Worth a listen, like a modern take with post punk influences.
Check out Blood Lust from Uncle Acid and the Deathbeats. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSpsffboOAc fantastic psychedelic rock with a hint of doom

Emperor Tomato Ketchup by Stereolab Such an excellent semi-modern jump at krautrock. Worth all of your listens.
Amia Venera Landscape - The Long Procession a pretty cool mix of metalcore and post-metal. if you don't like either of these genres this album isn't going to change your mind but if you are it's a pretty solid listen
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GmGtvWnH8w Thought this was one of Aphex Twin's best works, it's so dreamy sounding.
Emperor Tomato Ketchup by Stereolab
one of my top 5 favourite albums of all time ever, definitely worth a listen (as is their entire discography)
Car Seat Headrest - Twin Fantasy Alternative/lo-fi/indie rock. An amazing album, despite being relatively unknown. Every song on this album is golden, which is always incredibly refreshing to hear. It's worth a listen. listen/download - http://carseatheadrest.bandcamp.com/album/twin-fantasy
[img_thumb]http://www.sienaroot.com/home/upload/omslag(1).jpg[/img_thumb] Siena Root Different Realities 2009 This is an interesting album. Tracks 1, 3, 4 and 10 are pretty basic but really well done, mostly instrumental psychedelic/stoner rock. Tracks 2, 5-9 are like middle-eastern folk music or something, don't know what it should be called. Although the album was made in 2009, it has very 60's esque production and style. I didn't really like the middle-eastern tracks, but the psyche tracks are good enough and the idea is pretty nice, I'd say its worth a listen. Jeffrey Lewis - It's the One's Who've Cracked That the Light Shines Through Folk/ Singer Songwriter. His voice is occasionally a little rough, but the gold here is in the lyricism, a great album to listen to in one sitting. [t]http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EvFSZUiBmow/TbkVZ_CSqaI/AAAAAAAAAfE/xHHJ2DqYpHc/s1600/cover.jpg[/t] Belzebong Sonic Scapes & Weedy Grooves Short, but really sweet Stoner metal album. The sound is very gritty and raspy and heavy as fuck. There's no vocals, except for a few samples here and there, but they're used really well and add to the music flawlessly. I think that all Stoner Metal fans should give this album a shot.
Jagwar Ma - Howlin' (2013) this is an extremely solid psychedelic dance-pop album. it's kind of like if tame impala were obsessed with the late 80s as opposed to the 60s. the hooks are amazing, and many of the songs start off as simple pop songs then spiral into long dance breakdowns a la lcd soundsystem. check it out, they're streaming it here.
I wonder if anyone actually reads this thread anymore Anyways: [t]http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/500/90209061/Ecophony+Rinne+cover.png[/t] 芸能山城組 (Geinoh Yamashirogumi) Ecophony Rinne I know I've posted Geinoh Yamashirogumi in this thread earlier, but w/e. Ecophony Rinne is an experimental world/folk music album (at least I think it is) and the first part of the Ecophony trilogy. (Symphonic Suite AKIRA, Ecophony Gaia) It's made almost entirely with just a choir and percussive instruments. The album has an IMMENSE atmosphere, perfectly balancing between calm and creepy and hitting the right strings at the right moments. It's 40-minutes long and definitely worth a try for people who enjoy experimental music.
The soundtracks to Bastion and Hotline Miami.
[thumb]http://f0.bcbits.com/img/a0031402261_10.jpg[/thumb] High Pop - Hip Hip Hooray If you're into the lo-fi / surf / punk / garage bands that seem to be coming around now, like Wavves or Best Coast, give High Pop a listen. Also they're from the great lands of my lil state Connecticut, so show some CT love. B)
i've been listening to snoop lion's new reincarnated album, it's really good
Well, I don't know if this is the place to ask, but I didn't see any other threads, and I didn't want to make my own, so here we go. I'm looking for more music like this: More specifically, kind of space-y ambient music, in particular like the first 30 seconds with the trumpet-like (or actually trumpet) sound. Can anybody recommend something like it?

This song was in the album Even In The Quietest Moments Supertramp in general is a fantastic band, especially if you enjoy progressive rock. Btw, anyone know any newer bands like this? I can't find any.
