Anyone know of an artist/album progressive rock with a bluegrass theme?
Old Man Markley, saw them live once when they opened for the Dropkick Murphys. They were a good show live but personally I don't really listen to them that much. Might not be exactly what you're looking for but it's at least something to look at. Maybe check out their Guts n' Teeth album.

Have a Nice Life - Deathconsciousness
lo-fi shoegaze/industrial/post-punk/post-rock
the conceptual elements of this album are pretty amazing, i'd suggest looking into the .pdf file of the booklet that comes with it. to put it in a few words: existential byzantine death cult.
easily one of my favorite albums of all time.
similarly, made by one of the members of HANL;

Giles Corey - Self-Titled
depressive reverb-drenched folk music.
also full of quite lovely concepts, again the booklet is worth checking out. to put it in a few words: suicidal ghost mythology.
and, finally,

Elliott Smith - Either/Or
heart-wrenching lo-fi indie folk.
if you want feels, look no further than elliott smith.
So I'm big fan of that 80's synths. I Don't know why but I just enjoy them alot. I also like space rock and cyberpunk type music.
Well, there's a band called Infinity Shred. They've already cemented their stay as a band who loves to use chiptunes and synth along side guitars and drums.

This is their newest album and it seems to be a continuation of the musical style that emerged from Gnar Dream. Anyone looking for something that's similar the original Mass Effect soundtrack or love synths, their new album Sanctuary is definitely your best bet.

Best part, they put all their music on youtube this time around. Here's the playlist.
Deathconciousness is one of my top five albums, it's very important to me. Giles Corey is also fantastic. Upboating those hard.
Anyone know of an artist/album progressive rock with a bluegrass theme?
Yes! I actually do, check out a band called the Audience, they were an American sort of bluegrass band that ended up inspiring progressive rock, particularly on their later albums because they used complicated arrangements

Vatican Shadow - Ghosts Of Chechnya
A mix of ambient electronic and industrial. The music is very simple and repetitive, but it has lots atmosphere. A bit noisy but not massively.

Maeth - Oceans Into Ashes
Genre: progressive metal, post metal, sludge, doom, psychedelic
This one is hard to describe, because there is so much stuff packed into a single album. It has the atmospheric, crunchy post metal sound, it has its share of heavy sludgy riffage that creates a powerful wall of sound, then at one point it even slows down into pretty much funeral doom, while at other times it's an assault of faster proggy riffs or even technical sludge in a style reminiscent of early Mastodon. The songs feel very dynamic and even have plenty of calmer parts where the guitars get to show their softer side. The band also somehow manages to work a flute into a few of the songs. The only thing constant about this album is that it has a proggy style all the way through. Apart from all that, there's even a few short ambient tracks thrown in for contrast. The lyrics are minimal so as not to hold back the progression of the songs and the vocals are a pleasant mix of clean singing, sludgy shouting and even deep growls.
This is an album that will remind you of lots of different bands that don't necessarily have to do all that much with each other. With all this written down it might sound like a bloody mess (to be honest, it kind of does at some parts during the first couple listens), but surprisingly all those influences are skillfully combined into a coherent whole, and it's an impressive journey from the beginning to the end. After a week of listening to it, it's definitely among my favourite albums of this year. You have to listen to it to believe it:

People Who Can Eat People are the Luckiest People in the World- Andrew Jackson Jihad

genre: punk folk
first liked this band due to the dirty lyrics (kinda how i used to like weird al yanchovic when i was in 4th grade or something). but after listening to it a couple times alot of the vulgar lyrics have some pretty realistic and deep meaning. also the duality of the singer's hate towards people and himself is a p good element
fav song from it:

I have no idea what to categorize this gem of an album as, but wikipedia says disco-pop so I'll go with that.
And to give you a taste of what is in store for you if you decide to take a listen, have two singles.

It is, and, if you are looking for more artists with a similar sound, I can't tell you. Though, I would think that Akayz in his seemingly infinite musical knowledge would be able to help you.
In the mean time, here is another recommendation from my collection:
Visitation

Genre: Alternative, Electronic, Indie Rock.

Such an accessible solo EP from a talented vocalist who's worked with SBTRKT and Jessie Ware, distinctly individual soulful vocals with dashes of piano and a nice electronic vibe. Good way to spend 15 minutes.

Band: Walden
Album: ...Isolation
Genre: Atmospheric Black Metal
Year: 2011
Calm acoustic tracks mixed with raw, freezing cold, atmospheric BM from (surprise!) Cascadia. Also, it's free! To quote a review I found:
"The acoustic tracks give that sense of sitting in a wooded area with a fire burning to keep you warm. But the Black Metal tracks, full of tortured wails and tremolo picking, are anything but cozy; the fire is now out and you are frostbitten."

Not gotten around to listening to this yet. Going to have to get around to it soon.
Do so. I might also recommend checking out the latest ep, Metchosin (which I noticed while making the previous post). It has a cleaner sound and seems really great so far (I'm on track 3). Also, Flower photo as art. Can't get much more Cascadian than that.

Happened upon this album while I was searching for Zs-like experimental jazz.
This is a very interesting album, since even though its jazz, its still heavier than most metal albums out there.
The noisey and bassy production is fantastic and some of the melodies are just brutal.
There's a lot of that cool high-note unharmonic playing that Zs does too. It's not quite as prevalent with the heavier tone and the whole album doesn't sound as creepy or experimental, but it's great in its own right.
There's only vocals on one track, but I think that the album is better that way. The vocals are decent, but not good enough to have been on the full album.
I recommend this album to fans of weird music, or metal fans.

Found this gem while searching for random music on youtube (related videos is a surprisingly great way to find new stuff).
It's basically a combination of 70's prog rock/fusion jazz and japanese folk music.
A very interesting combination that works flawlessly. Incredible and original sound with all kinds of oriental instruments and drums, bass and acoustic guitar.
The album is entirely instrumental, which I think benefits the album greatly, since any vocals might have ruined the well constructed atmosphere.
I recommend this album to fan's of classic prog rock and/or world music.

Daughters - Daughters (2010)
Noisecore/mathcore with clean vocals
A bunch of guys from Rhode Island that are somewhat like a mathier, noisier, heavier... sexier Jesus Lizard. This album has some of the most interesting guitar work I've ever heard, and it's a hell of a lot of fun. While the first three tracks are especially strong, it never lets up.
