What you mean this? fucking media tags and youtube removing long link
No, that's the album version. The one they used in the show is arranged differently. It's about 8 minutes long and has lengthier instrumental sections and less vocals.
I've got the whole BSG soundtrack on my itunes, I listen to at least half of the tracks regularly, it is great music. There are 112 tracks in total. My favourite are these three because they are relaxing

SO SAY WE ALL
My favourite music track from the final episode has to be the one when [sp]Adama is flying his viper, the hint of the Colonial Anthem/TOS Theme at the end was also awesome.[/sp]
Did you get a tear in your eye when Roslin and Adam where flying around in the Raptor?
tear in my eye was when Baltar said he knows about cultivation and farming.
baltar was my favorite out of all. no really, he's a brilliant character. that scene when he's talking to someone, probably roslyn, and he speaks in his native, really brutish cockney sounding, accent... oh man he's awesome.
Watching this for the third time. Got my cousin into it. I still love it like the first time I watched it.

[editline]22nd November 2012[/editline] Also just finished Caprica. Amazing how Agent Durham hasn't aged a day and actually moved on to Battlestar command.
most touching moment of the series

Ugh, watching Blood & Chrome gives me such bad eye sore and a huge headache from all that god damned bloom and lens flare.
You mean yorkshire accent. Sounds nothing like Cockney.
fuck should i know. when i see/think cockney i think working class red collarish london, and there are probably plenty of people in london with that accent. you guys think americans either go either only "howdy" or "sup brah" so whatever.
Been rewatching BSG starting from season 1 - my god I forgot how good it was. Prob one of my fave shows of the last decade.
Doesn't B&C eps come out on friday?

Been rewatching the series - got up to season 3 and my god I think I found the worst line of dialogue in the show: 'I love you so completely' - athena to helo with their [sp]kid[/sp] Starbuck is now my fave because of this though the constant angst and shit with her gets on my nerves - at least the boomers have a reason to be so mopey considering everyone treats them like shit to the point where it gets a little ridiculous.
as i've said before. boomer's model was programmed to be a vapid whore.
starbuck is 100000x more annoying though; so many issues I'm surprised she can fly a plane
boomer is just as fucked up as starbuck.
Finished Season 3, that season finale was glorious.
I really liked this show and can't wait to start B&C, but god damn I was so disappointed by the ending of the series. I think it became increasingly evident as it went on that the writers had no idea where they were going, and so much just didn't get properly addressed.
I thought the ending was amazing, unless you mean the epilogue which did actually come across as fairly not thought out.
Well, it's a couple of things, really. Everything up until the second they land makes sense and is awesome, but it's when they actually land and decide to go full Luddite that it stops making sense. They leave a couple of seemingly-important plot threads just unresolved (what was Starbuck, why was the Brooklyn Bridge visible on old Earth), and more importantly it basically makes their entire existence meaningless. They all go native (kind of a stretch, IMO), all their technology is lost, it has no historical effect on primitive man because our history doesn't show any great leap forward at the time the Colonials showed up. The Colonies effectively completely die out. Then they bring in this memetic nonsense suggesting that Bob Dylan's lyrical inspiration comes from genetics or some crap, not to mention the entirety of Greek culture. It's also a total Deus Ex Machina. Literally. They find Earth because of a song implanted in whatever Starbuck has become, through the work of a deity. That kind of cheapens it, IMO. Overall I thought it was a great show and most of the things people criticized I didn't mind much, but that ending was one hell of a letdown.

First few episodes are brilliant, and do a great job illustrating trauma, shock, and everything else. After you realize that the lady in his head is real and from a deity, however, it completely loses the plot. I'd have rather watched the scientist go insane due to guilt at the possibility rather than have it be a reality.

I'd have rather watched the scientist go insane due to guilt at the possibility rather than have it be a reality.
Leaving aside the religious overtones, it effectively eliminates the agency of any of the characters. In a character-driven show, the characters' decisions are what drive the plot. Having a god in the mix dictating that ridiculously improbably or flat-out impossible events happen basically destroys their ability to make meaningful choices. It was fine, I think, when the god's influence was basically limited to voices in Baltar's head, but when it starts to produce deus ex machinas near the end it became too much.
Maybe it's because I had heard constantly how bad the religious aspects were handled and so went in with seafloor-esque excpectations for that part of the story, but I thought it handled it well. But yeah, I'd agree that the the revelation that [sp]everything is being guided by a deity[/sp] is far too deterministic for a show that places such emphasis on it's characters and spends almost all of it's time showing us their trials and victories.
Religious aspects or not, this show had some of the most powerful character moments that I've seen in any series. [sp]At season 4 mid, when Tigh came clean to Adama about being a Cylon and there was that huge standoff between Lee and D'Anna...I mean, shit, that was some powerful stuff. Even my cousin, who didn't really like Tigh (I don't know why,) admitted that was pretty ballsy for him to accept his fate if Lee decided to space him. In S2 when Adama stood up to Cain and both sent out Vipers, both preparing for a bloodbath was pretty insane, man I wish I was watching that live when it was first on... Pretty much everything about the season 1 finale...[/sp] And so much more. I don't really think [sp]everything was determined by God...[/sp]I mean, it can be argued. But the way I see it, is that [sp]those people who did believe ended up playing a specific part. Baltar, Roslin, Kara all held some kind of belief, though I think I might be reaching with Kara come to think of it...[/sp] (Yay, time to rewatch them all again!) [sp]But I never saw Lee, Bill Adama, Tigh or plenty of others being religious to the point where Baltar and Roslin were. I believe the choices they made were their own, which makes their impact on the whole thing pretty substantial.[/sp] edit: man, I have no idea what counts for a spoiler in here, but whatever.
Just about to start the last episode. What a great ride this has been. Such an amazing show. [editline]19th November 2012[/editline] The ending was wonderful. I don't know what people would have expected.
Yeah I hated getting to the end, it was such a great ride I wanted it to keep going. But it needed to end :(
