Apparently I've been missing out on a whole bit of awesome content. I just subscribed to ~6 comics, thanks guys!
I'd contribute, but xkcd has been mentioned so much...
Alright, I have a ton of comics that I browse, gonna post some.

Married to the Sea has always been good for a guffaw or two
I've begun and quit reading many webcomics in my time, but the only webcomic I have faithfully stuck to since beginning it years ago has been Dominic Deegan.
And Looking For Group

I use to read that but quit for some reason. I think due to not updating frequently or something.
Updated the list, it's getting very long. Still looking for people to do descriptions on comics...
You guys forgot Boxer Hockey man come on.

Decription? Ok:
Basically, three dudes play some made up game that's hilarious and subtle homoeroticism coupled with betrayal cause large amounts of hilarity. Also, there's sonic and other misc comics that are pretty great. I used avatars exclusively from this comic for a couple years.

Updated: It's pretty much abandoned. The comic hasn't updated in two years and the author is currently working on other stuff right now.
About: (from the author) On a very surface level it’s about an overactive ginger idiot trying to be a paranormal detective and sort of sucking but having an undead partner that is (surprisingly) better at it than he is. He also meets other types of paranormals and maybe one day stops being QUITE so terrible at his job. But no promises.
So currently the comic is abandoned on a massive cliffhanger where all of the major characters are in some sort of life-threatening situation. But everything before that is a great read!

Basically a bunch of faceless and slightly insane Red soldiers trapped in a mishmash of post-apocalyptic settings looking for the exit to a gigantic city and trying not to get killed by the (far more competent) yellows and blues, getting in wacky hijinks along the way. It's way better than I make it sound.
Sequential Art, by the same guy who made the political cartoon of a tiny North Korea throwing a toy rocket at a colossal US.
EDIT: And he was one of the concept artists for Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.

The discontinuation of this comic haunts me in my dreams.
Excellent though.
My favorite webcomic with continuity is Unsounded, it really does feel original, good writing, character development and great attention to detail. And I'm fucking picky about what I'll read.
(Gonna post this once and not come back because I'm terrified of spoilers and also consider practically any detail to be a spoiler)
I think the author started smokin' some strong shit right around chapter 7.

it really is fucking fantastic

The comic's about the first human to move into an all-monster apartment complex. Been a fan of the artist before the comic started, so IMO the art's great.

Menage a 3 is a decent webcomic, but it's pretty NSFW. Great art, though.
i read girls with slingshots

don't know if you guys will like it but i enjoy it. A story about people in there 20's going about their lifes.
there is also dumbing of age

read this one since last year and have enjoyed it since. mainly just a collage life story which follows a lot of characters through their journey.
