About: Dr. McNinja is a comic about a doctor who is also a ninja. He punches dinosaurs from space and giant lumberjacks. Sometimes his family is there, too. It's better to read it all yourself and see it all unfold gradually. Because damn, does it unfold.

I've added a good number of these. thanks, guys.
any Lovecraft fans here?

i found this neat story one day. basically, mr. Howard P. L. himself disappears into thin air one day, without leaving a trace. the police are clueless of course, so a trio of unlikely heroes (a student, a pulp horror writer and a priest) team up to find out what happened to the writer. on the way they discover that the stuff he wrote about is actually based on real-world things-that-should-not-be, and so they of course run into cults, protoplasmic monsters and a Doomsday conspiracy older than mankind itself. i'm pretty sure it has something to do with big ol' Squidhead Tentacleface. the story is still going and the progress is slowish, but it's worth following and reading
naturally, there are Lovecraft references all over the place, like the painter Pickman, a mysterious musician named Zann, Cthulhu cults, FHTAGN, i think i even spotted a mention of a certain Goat With A Fuckload Of Offspring. even the dialogue and character names contain references (some characters have been ripped straight from the stories, and they blend in with the rest of the comic's story and characters quite well). the characters have depth and the whole thing is overall quite well-written. gets a bit multi-layered in some parts but i'm having no problems reading it and staying on track of what's going on
the art is somehow appealing to the eye too (mine at least), the pic i posted is a semi-good example
start here if you're interested
http://lovecraftismissing.com/?p=930
[sub]btw the whole idea is actually at least 18 years old, and the guy making it is a massive HPL fanatic apparently so he knows what he's doing (from the FAQ)
http://lovecraftismissing.com/?page_id=2[/sub]
I've seen some his stuff posted here and there on FP, but no mention of his site in this thread yet, so here is http://zenpencils.com/

The site mostly contains quotes and stories meant to be profound or thought provoking.
Another fairly good one is http://trenchescomic.com/ it's a story based comic about the people behind games and a general look into the industry, but done with a humorous twist.
there is also dumbing of age

read this one since last year and have enjoyed it since. mainly just a collage life story which follows a lot of characters through their journey.
David Willis is great
Roomies/It's Walky/Joyce and Walky is like if in the middle of Friend's second season it turned into the X-Files and god DAMN it's cool.

Another fellow I've seen posted on FP every once in a while is http://www.hejibits.com/
He's probably most well known for that one comic about a meeting that ends with a dude being thrown
out a window, but he's done quite a bit of stuff that has to do with games and geek culture.

Unfortunately the site has a habit of standing still for a couple of months every now and then.

two kinds
http://twokinds.keenspot.com/
description: Twokinds is a popular webcomic created by Tom Fischbach. It was released on October 22, 2003. After originally writing a book, Tom decided to make Twokinds into a webcomic instead because it was a more accessible format to him. The inspiration for the comic was primarily racial discrimination Tom had experienced in his school since the majority of the student's were white
plot: After losing his memory to a mysterious battle, Trace Legacy, a former leader for an organization of mages called the Templar, finds himself in the company of Flora, a girl of strange, tiger-like qualities. As Trace gradually begins to re-learn what he once knew, he soon discovers that Flora belongs to a race of people who are enemies of his kind. As friendship confects with racial differences, Trace and Flora find themselves in a situation more critical than either of them can imagine.

Incoming furry bandwagoning
I think I'll add things to the OP once a week, otherwise I'll be doing it every day
Incoming furry bandwagoning

to be honest, i hate furriers, i like this comic for the story and the art style, i dont go running around in a fur suit, and i can stand the porn, but the art style i like, it reminds me of child hood, like watching Disney's robin hood. (i didn't actually like that one but i cant think of any good references any body would get.) oh and there isnt any nsfw scenes in two kinds, well for the most part. no sex scenes lets go with that. the artist normally has a really jokey and light hearted style to this comic, but it has plot and character development so there has to be some sirs scenes in it.

All the ninja you can handle with a hint of medicinal ass kicking.
Edit:
It deserves a double post, page king, and epic picture post for many reasons.
I actually fell out of the comic and haven't read any of it for a few years, so I may have forgotten the quality. I really enjoyed it then though, and I'm looking to get back to reading it sometime soon so I'll throw in,

My joke a day comics consist of Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, Qwantz (Dinosaur Comics), xkcd and Penny Arcade. I read all of Terror Island and am reading Galaga.

Dinosaur Comics
Updated 3 times a week. Doesn't change art used at all. Same frames every comic completely different stories. It's done pretty well (I think it might be an acquired taste though). The author also has the most successful book publishing based kickstarter (choose your own adventure Hamlet). The comic also has 3 (and probably more) hidden parts to the comic (I count alt text).

Galaga
If you've ever wanted the arcade game to be turned into a web comic then... there you go. It's pretty cool how they actually managed to make a story out of this. It's like a dramedy (Written by the author of Dinosaur Comics).
Terror Island
Is a story based photo comic strip detailing the lives of... random tokens. I thought it was pretty cool, it can get pretty abstract. They stopped making it a while ago. This is also a dramedy.

If you like reality TV game shows and web comics, Penny Arcade is making one and it isn't as bad as it could have been. I have perhaps cringed once and I don't normally watch these type of shows. A number of web comic cartoonists are competing for cash and a year at Penny Arcade.

Pages: A lot.
Updated: Almost never these days.
About: Started in 2011 in the MSPA forums, getting popular enough to cause the site to go down, and getting it's own site. Prequel is set in the universe of the Elder Scrolls, a little while before Oblivion. Knowledge of the series and mythos is not needed. The main character is Katia Managan, a Khajiit starting anew after a life of alcohol and prostitution. Unlike other MSPA clones, the character won't do something if it's rediculously idiotic. Occasionally you will get flash animations, at first like Homestuck, but later taking the look of a 16-Bit RPG that are fully interactive. The updates are not frequent.
prequel recently had some fucking rad html wizardry, i'd link it but it's really spoilery so just read it
the story is sorta meh, it's just (no specific spoilers but might cause predictability it if you haven't read it so click at your own sorta half risk:)[sp]katia in a cycle of "life in the gutter > reluctant optimism > actual optimism > bad thing happens > downward spiral > life in the gutter etc..."[/sp]
i hope it breaks out of that soon because the art is really good and a story in that universe would have a ton of potential

I actually hadn't made the connection between TES and this until when a flash video was loading, and it had the Oblivion symbol. I hadn't played any at that point.
I started reading Unsounded last night, it's really really good. The art is absolutely fantastic.
