Not sure if you could pull this off, but perhaps Battlefield 1942? Got released for free on Origin a while ago, and it'll run on pretty much everything nowadays. You'd need flash drives bigger than 1GB, though, the game's pretty large, plus I'm not sure you can actually run it like that. Failing that, Quake III Arena. Find yourselves a demo or get one of these freeware clones. Did that last year, capping my classmates' asses with the rocket launcher was a ton of fun. (getting railguned to death every time I spawned wasn't, though :v: )
Pong
Age of Empires 2, Starcraft, UT2004, Minecraft, Call of Duty 2. Yeah i played a lot of games in school
I was playing Binding of Isaac in my programming class once. Before I knew it, 5 other dudes wanted the game on a USB, and so we started having races through Isaac. It's fun as hell.
binding of isaac is actually pretty damn demanding [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] okay i take that back, on low most computers will run it but it can get really slow which can get in the way of gameplay sometimes
If you can find it, try the homeworld series. Also, XCOM: UFO defence.
Try Jagged Alliance 2.
Soldner
Skyroads for dos. Also XCom.
Cry Of Fear.
Battlefield 1942. Played the shit out of it on old school computers during class.
How about flash games? Plazma burst 2 is good if you can get past the fact that there are a lot of immature 8 year olds playing it. Also, I strongly suggest Quake. Epic gameplay, Fabulous custom maps and all you need to do to install it are copy the install directories (you'll need to install it yourself first for this to work) DooM is also extremely good, as you can see by my username. I suggest grabbing a copy for some good ol' fashion blastin' and gorin' I'm such an idFag. :|
C&C Generals for sure.
Survivor- its a co-op horror game
Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne
Worms World Party (Do anyone have port for mac? PM me, I want it so bad)
Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne
This is the perfect game for MP LAN
Every student has a laptop so we easily manage to get a 64 player LAN of Battlefield 1942 (It's free now) every afternoon. It's at the point where we are having cash prize tournaments. I'm even working on a 2v2 ladder where a student chooses a partner and they compete to get top rank.
Pocket Tanks!
BF1942 deserves another mention, being free now and all. Fucking awesome game. Looks like shit, but the gameplay beats even some of the most recent games IMHO. Also, A New Zero. Simple, entertaining, and you could run that shit on a toaster.
