Hell yeah being human is awesome seeing what we can do, what choices we have, and how we involved all together.
But on the side note it's those people out there who drag out society down and start making this world a shit hole from one little choice.
humans suck, i want to go back to nibiru.
Seeing as we're the only truly sentient race on the planet, I kinda have to be. I can't be proud as anything else because I wouldn't have the higher brain function to realize any accomplishments I or my species have made.
Also a more fitting title would be "happy", instead of "proud"
Hell yeah I take pride in being Human, sure people look back and say "we've fucked up a whole lot in the past, and are probably going to fuck up much more in the future" but that is just the progress of a young civilization, regardless of creed or culture I think these things would happen to all but the most advanced creatures, assuming that something like that would even be possible.
Just baby-steps to a better future society through trial and error.
Being humans has its ups and downs. But I still am proud.
As some people already said: I can't logically be proud over something that isn't my choice, like being human or white or asexual or Swedish.
Id rather be a human then an animal.
Being a human was much more natural long ago. We have done bad stuff, but we humans are way to excited. If Einstein died before the nuke theory was complete, some other guy would come to and finish it. We don't know if a thing is bad or not, until someone tries it. It may sound wrong, but I'm happy that Hitler and all the people who led the world into the dark times. Looking back on it, we have a lot of knowledge on what happens when someone start and leads into the war and dark times. But I'm not walking around bragging to all the aliens: "WE HUMANS NUKED EACH OTHER, WE DECAPITATED EACH OTHER, AND WE BETRAYED EACH OTHER. WE ARE MUCH BETTER THEN YOUR GREEN ASSES".
I'M A DOG IN A MANS BODY

Who isn't proud of being a human? it's better than being an ostrich.

Well, in my eyes if you're born a human you're automatically entered into mankind, this community of the species itself. Being proud of being human is, at least to me, the same as being proud of the entire species.

It'd work better if it was like:
"We nuked ourselves, decapitated, betrayed and overall fucked each other for milleniums. We knew it wouldn't do any good to us, but we did it anyway. We got the cajones, you little green fucks."
No, why would I be proud of something I had no choice in.
It's like being proud of a random object just because it's there.
It's good to be a human, what bothers me is the expiration date of my body.
Also I belong to the rarest 2% of the world's population so it's nice to know I'll never meet another like me. :v:

Uh that would mean one in every fifty people is like you.
Are you planning on not meeting fifty people in your lifetime.

Pray tell, what is this rare 2%?
Pray tell, what is this rare 2%?
The one that is rather forgetful.
One that doesn't seem to understand that no 2% is rarer than another 2%

It's sad, the only people that can kill the humans, is the humans...
I'd rather be a xenomorph, they seem pretty cool.

I'm one of four people in Sweden with the name Vasilius and my family takes up 50% of Swedens Vasilius'es. Beat that.
Are we human...
Or are we hamster?
My water's empty,
My cage is cold...
And I'm on my wheel,
Searching for the answer...
Are we human...
Or are we hamster?
[sp](not by me lol)[/sp]
Seriously though,I think I prefer being human to being, say,an alien fish.

Yeah but I could have been a hyper intelligent alien.

heres your closure
Being a human is a great privilege, no doubt about it.
Hell, humans are akin to God. But we should not forget about the damage a man can do.
Edit Whats up Johnnymo and the other?
;31863698']Something you don't usually think of, right?
Think about how lucky you are to be a human and not a fish or any other being of lower intelligence. We had this question in philosophy class a while ago and it just stuck in my head. I want to hear your opinions, Facepunch.
How proud are you to be human and how proud are you of our race in whole?
What really surprises me is that you have to give it so much insight
I'm proud of being a human, can't say I'm proud of everyone else though.
Not really proud at all. Historically, we've done more bad than good. It almost seems like brutality is in man's nature. There's the Holocaust, the Inquisition, the Crusades, and various wars in every corner of the world since Cro-Magnon figured out how to swing a club. Peacetime never lasts long. Countries have always and still do quarrel over the most ridiculous shit. People are killed in the name of God all the time. Everybody's susceptible to bribery and greed. Humans can't leave anything sacred.
Yeah, we have the technology to make it to the moon. America only got there first because they were so caught up in their dick-measuring contest with Russia. That's not really something to be proud of. "HAHA WE FINISHED FIRST. COMMIES SUCK BALLS LOL. CAPITALISM FTW"
If we had done more bad than good we wouldn't be at this level technologically most likely. The space race wasn't a dick measuring contest, and their is no such thing as anything being sacred.
I'd rather be a crouton.

Does it look like it ._.
But honestly it's alright.
I am proud to be human, but the human race makes me think twice.
I am proud to be a human, although their are many other people that make the world shitty, most try to make it good.

I personally think our greatest traits are our adaptability and seemingly limitless advancement in science.
