I genuinely live in what used to be a parish community called Kirby. We got lots of this

I'm going to hazard a guess that that's located in New England.

actually old England
I said "parish" like "palace" except with a stereotypical Asian accent.

Taunton, Massachusetts. Settled 1637, incorporated as a town in 1639 and later as a city in 1864.
Here's what the downtown area looks like:

The middle of a park in the center of the city. That large building with the dome behind it is the Bristol County Superior Courthouse. The statue in the picture is a World War I memorial.

You find these all over the place. This old mill was abandoned until it was redeveloped into apartments.

This silversmithing plant was built right along the Taunton River, and housed a stove-making company and later a silver company. Abandoned and torn down in 2009.

Just off of Main Street. Fun fact: the building next door (not pictured) used to be a bar that was the hangout for crackheads, prostitutes, pimps, and every other local criminal until the city shut the place down.

This building sits right next door to City Hall. Fun fact: the guy that owns this building, believed to be a slumlord, has been fighting with the city for years over this place. He owns it but refuses to keep it up to code, causing the city to deem it a fire hazard (the fact that it's located right next door to the mayor's office doesn't help).

City Hall, built in 1848, with the dilapidated building from the previous photo beside it. Sustained damage after a four-alarm fire in August 2010. Fun fact: the guy who owns the dilapidated building next door was in the building at the time of the fire, and was due to testify at a court hearing that day.

This is the dead crackhead town I live in. Interestingly enough, it used to be very much alive and booming. In the late 1800s it was the world's leading producer of oil, and it also housed a Coca-Cola bottling factory in the early half of the 1900s. As well, it was also the shopping center of the area. Almost all of the shops along the streets were filled with appliance and clothing stores, as well as car lots, etc. Now, there's a supermarket, a Subway, 5 pizza places, and bars. It's dead, and quite sad.
I live 10-15 minutes away from the city, houses all around me, and crackheads that live behind me.

Why did I get rated dumb for asking a simple question. It means church where I live.
New York City

Before would be my "parish." The closest I have to a parish in Queens is the tarmac of JFK airport, which I live right next door to.

Oh yes, I was just walking around here very southern part of Helsinki on my way to home from a friend, pretty baked around at two o clock, the trees look so amazing in this whole city-theme under the street lights at night.
I like to have over rich seasons, this winter particularly is going to be the most plentiful in a long time too, and I don't mind it at all! Last summer was very hot too and the last winter was very nice too when compared to the last 5 or 7 winters, which were just lousy and wet and shit.

Downtown is like a city in Minecraft. It's in the woods with low buildings, the highest is the new capital building at a whopping 27 floors. I'm not sure where the first was taken, but it shows the town hall which is down the street from the capital.
