also this has one hell of an ejector seat, and its got a bomb-er bomb
[editline]14th April 2013[/editline]
at some point though, someone has to have suggested that maybe using an entire bomber for a bomb was a bit....expensive?

When you need to knock out a bridge that would let 1,000 T-34-85's cross a river in a single day, the cost of aircraft isn't something you would worry about.
true, but i would think there would be a better way, maybe using something like

[editline]14th April 2013[/editline]
what's more awesome than a torpedo mortar?
[editline]14th April 2013[/editline]
2 torpedo mortars
Because you can pack a Ju-88 from the nose to the tail with high explosives and get a better result. It's basically a very very unsophisticated rocket. You also can't drive a PT boat up the Oder when the Red army is firing at you on both sides.
It's the same premise with the radio controlled B-17 and PB4Y's "missiles". Difference being that Operation Aphrodite's birds had a "guidance" system. They were still a cluster fuck though. You had to have a man on board to activate the explosives and radio system and then bail out. One of the Kenedy's was a pilot for it, when he activated the explosives the plane exploded, obviously killing him.

Bioshock 2's depiction of the Thompson SMG, no stock, no foregrip, and somehow firing .50 BMG. What could possibly go wrong?
Anyone else getting this wired things saying there is a page 8 but can't access it?

It's a pretty common bug. Just ignore it, it'll go away. :v:
How about them cobbled up weapons?

i really like the concept of some weapons in Metro 2033 such as the Uboinik Automatic Shotgun or the Bastard SMG
the air pump rifles are cool too
Who remembers this vid? Turns out the rifle is not an AS50, but a Chinese M99.

I bring this up because recently people have cited this video as proof of Western involvement. Sorry to disappoint anyone out there, it is not a western weapon.
Pretty sure theres been Western involvement, whether secret or not. There was a bunch of photos a while back showing Syrian rebels holding shiny new AUGs. Maybe I'm confusing Syria with Libya though.

Probably not though. Tunisia has AUGs in service and it's much more likely that a few ended up in the black market during the 2011 revolution. Or it's the Saudis.
Which brings us to another question: why would the rebels purchase AUGs? The Syrian Army only has AK derivatives in its inventory (save for a few Norinco M16 clones), so 5.56 ammunition is not exactly easy to come by.
fuck that
No fucking way would I want to live life without being able to see anything.
Definitely!
I won't be able to see tits for the rest of my life?
Better die

Which is most likely the reason they haven't been buying them, they've been given them by NATO or someone else.
The Saudi's are a likely contender, cause they've been funneling money and arms through Croatia to give to the rebels, so I'm sure a few surplus AUG's made their way to Syria.

They've been using AR-15 and FAL pattern rifles as sniper rifles, so there does appear to be some supply of NATO munition in the country.
China makes loads of NATO ammunition for use in their cloned rifles. No doubt some of it's made it's way to the rebels or if China is selling to both sides of the conflict.

It's designated M99.

Were they just too cheap to use actual wood?
You believe using wood in a sabot or a very thin shell is a good idea??
