Although impractical in it's own right, it's most likely an upgrade in comparison to the pistol swords of the 1620s.

Do you put that in a holster or a scabbard?

I don't think a Nambu can be considered an upgrade to anything.

In this case I'd say it is, obviously it's going to be more accurate, looks like it would be easier to wield, higher capacity of course, and if you go on build quality some brass age guns could be pretty unreliable so it's possible the Nambu would be less likely to explode.
Really I think the Nambu pistols get a lot more flak than they deserve. The only real flaws of the gun would be horrible quality control and the crappy Japanese cartridges it used. Heck the design itself proved to make a pretty solid .22 in the hands of a better manufacturer:

I thought the Nambu was short-recoil and the Ruger was blowback
Have some Makarov

Blowing my own trumpet a bit, and I've already done one kukri post here, but I got a kukri, along with karda and chakmak for myself a week ago, and I think they're pretty cool. The chakmak looks a bit like a second karda though, not sure what's up with it. It's pretty standard buffalo horn, leather, brass and steel. After all, it's weapons, not solely guns, lets put in some variety!

Yeah, terrible quality picture and that.

I know they're not entirely the same design, but they still use a lot of the same features, the Ruger even got its start when Ruger was trying to clone the Nambu. And regardless, my point was that the Nambus weren't as bad as people make them out to be, most of the flaws were caused by poor manufacturing conditions, if you could find a well made one it'd work fine, well as fine as a pistol in 7 or 8mm Nambu could.

well yeah thats why they're so shitty and get so much flack. They were put together with shit materials and at the end of the war they were more or less made of twigs and stones.
An H&K 91 wearing the rather uncommon but sought after Namibian stock set. The stock and handguard will usually have a matching molted green finish, but the pistol grip was never colored in that way. Aside from the vented handguard, its the stock that is unique aspect of the set; it mimics the FAL and is extremely heavy compared to other HK stock.
Experimental with 3 AK mags welded together with each barrel fed in sequence. 7.62x39, holds 90 rounds.
Looks like a Rhino beatle... how the hell do you use the sights all the way up there?

The M200 is still a nifty piece of sniper rifle. Also I love that someone seriously used the word "nifty".
